  1. 1. Do you wish you were a pro golfer?

    • Yes! Why are you even asking me that bro?!?

    • No. I would rather spend my days pounding keys on a computer, working the controls on an excavator, ringing up sales at Dicks....

A better poll question is would you like to change places with Jason Dufner. Might have been an overwhelming yes then.

A struggling tour pro is tough. I have numerous friends who tried but none who are living on lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Your point is dead wrong.  How the **** do you know that everybody else in the world has the same desires and priorities as you?  Clearly everybody is different and it stands to reason that some may like it while others may not.

Because you live on a golf site GENIUS...were all golf dorks to be here. I dont think the question was for everyone else in the world.. Yes! Why are you even asking me that bro?!? [X]

A definite no.   Being a pro to be good enough to earn a decent living is going to take sacrifices, a lot of sacrifices.   I'd rather have a decent job and play golf for fun.

Still a no even if I were to be a top pro.   There is a lot one has to give up (privacy for one).

LOL.  She is one LPGA golfer that I'd be scared of running into.   Back to OT, I feel that the post was written to garner "yes" votes - an affirmation of the OP's belief.   But the last time I checked, yes and no votes were running neck to neck.   There's a lesson there somewhere.

Now that I like! Obviously we are all thinking the question is asking different things... I'm not sure what was the intent now....

Your point is still wrong.  You can fairly assume that everybody on this site likes (and probably loves) golf.  You can also fairly assume that everybody here would like to be better at golf.  You cannot fairly assume that everybody would want to be tour pro.  Not everybody in the world needs money and fame.  So all the people on this thread who voted no are not liars.  They just have different views and priorities than you.

Exactly. Would I like to have lots of money? Well, duh. Do I want to be a touring pro? **** no. I'd rather just be rich than have to golf for a living. There are plenty of other ways to make money that I would probably find more rewarding and golf would still be fun. He wasn't saying everyone else as in people who aren't on the website, he was saying everyone else as in people who aren't you. There are plenty of people who wouldn't want to be professional athletes or celebrities.

Dad..put down that pabst.... Look at the ONLY choices....the question asked and think about that for a minute. There is no third, deep answer... Choice 1- Yes! Why are you even asking me that bro?!? Choice2- No. I would rather spend my days pounding keys on a computer, working the controls on an excavator, ringing up sales at Dicks....

I've been on this site for 8 years, and I'm totally convinced it's run over by trolls now. I come here to simply get some laughs... It was supposed to be a fun, simple question.. but the troll hacks always find some strange way of turning it Into a forest gump battle of dorks.. So the question was really setup to troll and start bs?? Right. You're right. I'd choose to continue working at Dicks and pounding keyboards...

The question holds more weight than the silly description of the answers.

"Do you wish you were a pro golfer?"

Not everybody does.

What else should you go off of??? They are the only answers?? Do you realize how, GENIUS, you sound?

You're putting too much stock in a poorly constructed poll.

Almost half of the people who have voted in the poll, have voted no.  Are they stupid too?  Or are they "only" liars?

You're right. I got caught up laughing at, and feeding the trolls again... I change my answer. No. I would rather spend my days pounding keys on a computer, working the controls on an excavator, ringing up sales at Dicks.... Cheers!

As I see it, you're the only person here behaving like a troll...

+1.   A poll constructed to solicit an "yes" vote only but the voters here were apparently proven to be more thoughtful.

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.
    • Day 123 12-13 Rotation and getting to lead side work. Recorded face on. Hit a few foam balls but did plenty of rehearsals today.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
