Hahaha ... Very funny Mr. "I'll take 4 if you'll give them to me" :P

My HCP would have to be established off of the 25 balls I hit in a booth today at Golfsmith. But seriously, they all carried 272-276 and within 3 yards of center. I was testing a new 20-deg hybrid. I didn't buy it because I was trying to fill a 266-271 yd gap.

Kevin

There's a chart on here somewhere that says of you carry a 20 degree hybrid 270 yards with that kind of accuracy then you are a plus handicap. Tristan, take his strokes away!!!

Not sure if this affects the estimate but my ball speed was 296 mph average but the spin was like 10,276 rpm so the total distance was only 14 yds because they all spun back so much.

Smash factor was 3.0??

We got this. You and I were in the foursome that had the lowest total out of every foursome at the December outing, while the other two members are split in different groups this time...

Alright! Go pastel green team!!!

@tristanhilton85 - can you give me the Pantone code for the green used for the winning team B?  I want to make sure I have a shirt that matches.

@Golfingdad , @Bechambo , @Jaydub514 - I got a yardage book from a friend who played a tourney here recently, so that should help a little I hope.

Looking forward to it.

Brad

Awesome!  Thanks for the reminder because I got a yardage book when I played the Eisenhower course ... and as it turns out, the Babe is also in there if you flip it over.

We are set!

(I even have a good strategy when playing Industry Hills that I learned my one time there, and it goes like this:  Don't shoot 20 strokes over your handicap.) :-P

Also, completely random and 100% useless fact:  The dumb commercial below, that we've probably all seen 9 million times, was filmed at IH ...

So, looks like the rule is a red shirt for Sunday. Sounds about right. Anyone getting breakfast beforehand? Plenty of fast food in the area, plus a Denny's... :/ I haven't studied the map though.

Salmon maybe? I don't have any salmon shirts. Or peach shirts. I have red.

Alright guys, here are the groups:

I figure that we should all be ok playing the blue tees; if you feel that you should move up a set, let me know (obviously you'll get a few less strokes). I've tried to keep the groups as even as possible (groups 1 and 3 each have a total of 43 strokes, and group 2 has 47 strokes). We will be playing the modified stableford that we've been playing at these. The best 3 scores will count on each hole with the following point structure.

0 - Dbl Bogey or worse

1 - Bogey

2 - Par

3 - Birdie

5 - Eagle

7 - Double Eagle

We'll do the closest to the pin on number 13.

Forgot to ask, can you confirm the tee times and was a warm up bucket included in the price?

Thx.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
