Finally got the driving range and got that video, unfortunately YouTube is taking forever to upload it. Once up-loaded , I will post ASAP.

Glad to say , you won't be disappointed with the video. Using 45" driver with the head speed I am getting is true to what I originally stated.]

Ha ha, Ha, funny for stupid crittens like you,  but ultimately, dicks like you will always question saying the device to measure to the head speed is faulty. But I have other measurements that back up my claims. And the video will speak for itself.

I think you are going a little too far there.  He was making a joke, and even if it was in poor taste no reason to be the first to start calling people names & possibly get banned or blocked from your own thread for not being able to stay civil.

My bad, but the joke is not funny, I am just sick of people doubting me. Once this stupid you tube vid is posted, you cam all assess for you yourselves at how fast I am swinging. The monitor is pretty much reliable from what I have seen, so I don't see any need to not believe it。But I do need swing advise for sure.

OK, the video is finally uploaded.

Hear is it. 136 mph for a 45 " driver, 128 mph for my 3 wood and 124 for the 3 iron and I think I was getting 110 for the 9 iron.

I Garret-tee that with a 48" driver I could get at least 140 - to 147 mph. Actually thinking of entering the drive contest to see what I can do.

Make sure you watch it in you tube at at maximum level.

Hey! So you're not trolling! :-)

Not the 140-150mph swing speed that was originally claimed but still impressive nonetheless.  Was expecting you to be either a troll or clueless.

As for swing advice, there are plenty of members here that can help you. Start a my swing thread and contribute more on the forums and you'll get some good advice.

Still not sure it's 140-150 as the original thread title suggested but appears to be pretty damn speedy. And from my untrained eye, seems pretty armsy so I think you could even improve on it with a little more lower body action and timing. Also obvious you're swinging out of your shoes which isn't going to promote accuracy or contact. Slow it down to 115, hit the middle of the club face and you will be amazed at the distances you'll get. Nice job.

I was only going off the retail stores numbers, So, they fudge swing a bit or they gave my a qave longer driver and that is where the head speed has ve from.. Still, with a 48" driver I am very confident that I can get into the 140 mph range for sure. I am very interested in going to the re-max drive pro tournament, for sure.

I would certainly give it a try. I don't think you'll be able to get into the 150mph range with 3 inches more shaft though.

Nice job.

So, you can see I was not intentional lying. Maybe the retail shop was fudging their number to make me feel good. But always new IU was hitting better than most. I need I 48" clyp to see how fast I really am. Amy suggestions fro clubs to see if can match these long drivers. Very interested in coming to American to compete in the lonng drive. Those 3" make a huge difference for sure.

With the average at 145, I am sure I can get those speeds. Plus, I have no formal training , so buckling down will give more distance and ahead speed for sure.

No suggestions, don't know much about it. Used to be a pretty long driver but never cracked 120; now I'm in the 95-105 range so long driving is not something I've ever really looked into. With a little training and practice, I think you could compete. I'm sure there's a wealth of knowledge regarding that particular competition, equipment, technique, etc., on the interweb. Good luck.

BTW the net is about 240 yards, anything over that is great. I was told to to stop using my driver and spoon as as I was going over the nets.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
