For strength I do Joey D's routine from: [CONTENTEMBED=/products/joey-d-golf-golf-body-1 layout=inline][/CONTENTEMBED] For flexibility: [CONTENTEMBED=/products/roger-fredericks-secrets-of-golf-instruction-flexibility-your-guide-to-mastering-golf-s-true-fundamentals layout=inline][/CONTENTEMBED] The hip stretches are very yoga oriented but really good.

I have similar issues after breaking my left ankle which lead to limited left hip mobility. Did a TPI screening and was told to do the above stretch. Look for "tactical frog" and you'll see variations. Lifting the foot, rotating the hip forward and down then going back to seated position while trying to keep the foot up will really loosing things up.

For the hip flexor stretch, you can add a quad stretch to the back leg.  Go easy on this at first. It will take a few weeks to get to this position.  I usually wear sneakers and grab the inside back of the sneaker rather than the toe point grab.  Sit back at first and grab the shoe first, then move forward towards this positions.  This get the quad and the psoas muscle.

For the IT band (the tendon running from the hip socket to the outside of the knee) do these below. Use the roller ball to loosen the IT, then do the stretches.  Remember to breath in and out deeply for about 20 to 30 seconds for each stretch.

Again, it will take a few weeks to really loosen up. But if you do it daily, then it will really help.

I also recommend hamstring and quad stretching. A tight hamstring can pull on the glut and back. A tight quad can pull on the hip flexors.

I also recommend squats. Even if you just do them to stretch out the hip joint. I do deep squats as a way to maintain mobility in the hip area.

Oh Lordy, your right up my ally with the hips I have that are repaired. Good stretches pointed out. Also keep the piraformas bundle at the hip stretched where the sciatic nerve runs under loose as you can. Will cause buttocks, quad, knee, leg spasms issue when it flattens and pinches the nerve that people mistake for other conditions. Can inflame from repetitive motion, my golf swing hitting hundreds of balls. A pretty tough similar stretch.

Hard to get to muscle often effected by athletic overload of rotational forces-mine on the golf course applied to my hip. My leg went almost paralyzed 3 months ago with drop foot.
