Wow. An act? You're right he should be stone face when he hits a bad shot in such a high pressure enviroment. You sound like grumpy old grandpa waving his cane right now "these young whippersnappers with their attitudes!"

"God I hate this tee shot." "This hole is so stupid!!" You are right, great mature attitude right there. How about swinging his putter aound like a mallet after missing a putt? Seems like a perfect example of how to handle yourself.

He didn't say he had a great mature attitude. He said that he's 21 years old and acts like, well, a 21 year old kid. If he bit his tongue and pretended to be happy with bad shots, you'd like him more? Even though that would clearly be more of an "act?" Weird.

Oh come off it already. More than half the tour does it as does everyone else I see on the course when I go play. Get off Jordans back about it and claiming he is this horrible bad person who puts on a show when you don't know the first thing about him. You really sound like a grumpy grumbly old man just bashing all the great young talents of the game

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

Anyone watch Wimbledon this morning? Two of the greatest players that ever lived, and Federer considered the classiest player to ever play the game, and they were both throwing tantrums out there on bad shots from time to time. It happens when you're an emotional player, unless you're a Stewart Cink or Retief Goosen who put you to sleep. Even Phil gets whiny out there a lot and he's 45.

So age is the only reason he gets a pass for his bad attitude?! I don't think that really applies, but Ok I will play along. When is it no longer acceptable?! 25? 30? Seems pretty arbitrary to me.

And you do know him personally to say otherwise? I simply asked why he gets a pass and you are the one acting up over it. I see why you like him. All the young talents?! I didn't know Jordan was the only one...

Ok thanks. That could end up costing him a lot of money in the end. How could he not know that, or his caddie?

Great sand save by DL. Wonder how that 1 stoke penalty is feeling now?

It looks like it might cost him the championship!

Does Novak have a reputation for being a polite mature kid? And it's too bad he didn't fully rip his shirt!

Wow calm down bud. You're the one getting hot collared about it. I'm just simply stating my opinion. You're free to feel however you want. If you don't like him, so be it. I just happen to like players who aren't afraid to show their emotion. But that's me.

Come on Danny Lee! Oh wait, I'm not allowed to like young talents.

I should confess the main reason I like him is because I put a few bucks on him at Augusta and Chambers Bay and he thickened my bank account some :) haha Rickie will be my new favorite player if he wins at St Andrews

you think it's more arbitrary in his 20's than in his teens? At some point even you would acknowledge that immaturity is normal right? So when do you think is an unarbitrary transition? 12? 15? 19? That said, it's actually not the only reason nobody cares ... The other reason is what Chris just said - they all do it. Except for maybe Matt Kuchar, they all get frustrated occasionally and it's cuz they're humans.

Now that's a good reason! Haha and I legitimately wondered why he does get a pass. I guess the answer is his age. I'll leave it at that.

Immaturity is expected when you are a kid. Jordan has been on tour for years now. Time to grow up.

Doesn't matter how long he's been on tour ... He's still a 21 Year old kid.

So again I ask. When does his behavior become unacceptable?

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
