Hit one large bucket at another range where I also get free range balls.

Someone started talking to me and I couldn't hit any more balls. So, by the time I finished one bucket, I had to go pick up my son.

Practiced about 15 minutes swinging very slowly and gradually speeding up to my point of failure and backing off.

8/22/15: Work on 3-8 footers today, not really putting a positive stroke on them right at the moment... So with some small victories by getting my putting tempo up a little on the short ones... I putted better after about ten minutes... Gotta start making those... The City Championship starts next weekend... Those short ones could mean the difference between being a ranger on the Second Saturday... As a side note, Erik or Mike which ever one of you answers first... Would you guys consider tournament preparation during the next 6 days, "PRACTICE” as long as I detail what I am doing to prepare, you have to practice your mental game too...

Hit into my net in my back yard.  7i and driver.  Driver concentrated on a fast, smooth swing with max acceleration at the bottom.  Contact was very good, ball speed seemed good as well.  Impact on the face via tape was slightly above center in height, center toe to heel.

Spent an hour or so trying to dial in my wedges. Hit 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 shots in my front yard and a field near me. Playing tomorrow.

8/23/15: Played 18 today, played like garbage, played skins down at Newman today, shot 95 I'm striping it off the ted, can't hit an iron to save my life... That being said I won a skin with a birdie on 15, other than that I played like shit...

Practiced the downswing today trying to keep my right arm from extending so early, it's a little better but still not there. I'm still extending a few frames to early.

Played nine today with my wife in a light mist. My warm up was mapping my swing without hitting balls. There is no range at my local muni. Shot a 41.

Played 18 today.  It was the first time I've walked in a while.  Boy walking is a lot different than driving around in a cart.  After my round I hit a bucket of balls.  I focused on shortening my back swing and getting my weight forward.

      Day 11, 1/11/26.  Today was putting, along about 6' of carpet, with coins on the ground to keep me cognizant of what I'm doing.  I think this is the at-home drill from LSW. (Ugh, missed two of the last four days -- 1/10 and 1/8)

      I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
