Shot 85 (40/45) Sunday on my home course (69.2/120). Missed about 3 seven or so footers, and hit two in the water on the back 9. Struck the ball well.

I played a quick nine holes after work yesterday and shot 40. I went bogey-bogey-birdie-bogey-par-bogey-par-par-bogey.

I didn't really play all that well, but the 35-foot birdie putt made the round feel good at least. And I scrambled pretty good as well.

It was a ho-hum nine holes, and I was happy with a 40 in the end. I wish I could have played 18 because the other 9 is my favorite of the two. I might have broken 80 again.

Today was a decent golf round, could have put better but driving was fantastic.

AVG of the tee with driver, like 290 draw, cut, you name it, right in the middle, i hit like 12 out of 14 fairways, i made 2 chip ins made 2 3 putts from under 15 feet, and shot a 80, to me this was probably one of the best 80's i shot, plus these titelist irons are amazin, they're fosho. Also funny thing is their is this 90 yard par 3, I hit it hole high and spun it back into a bunker that is about 14 feet beneath the hole, hole number 14 http://shsbg.tripod.com/home.htm you can't see the bunkers but their below the hole in the front

Shoot 80 on wednesday 40/40 first round of the year. Front 9 was alittle shakey, missed 12 footer for eagle but the birdie saved that nine. Back nine I got the driver straightened out still didn't hit many greens but made up and down everytime. Only bogey was a three putt on 220 par 3 until 18. On 18 hit the worse drive of the day a bad hook into the woods. Provisonal down the middle. Didn't find first ball. Hit 4th into trap short, plugged in wet sand.
5th stayed in the trap, 6th to about 15 foot, and drained the putt. A nice triple bogey 7 to ruin a decent round.

Played in the first tournament of the year today. It was a six shooter. (six holes alternate shot, six holes best ball, six holes scramble) My partner and I shot 67 and took 4th place. Did not play all that well, no putts went in at all. I must have had 5 lip outs. My parner putted alright though. Next tournament is an individual stroke play.

Played my first round of the year yesterday and couldn't have started better. We went of the back and I split the fairway on 10 with a 290 yard drive. I put my 95 yard wedge shot to 15 feet and rolled in the birdie. Not bad, I was -1 for 2006. I went bogey, bogey, double the next three, but I was still OK with +3 through 4. I made par on 14 and hit my approach on the par 5 15th to 4 feet. I rolled in the birdie there as well. +2 through 6. 16 is a 165 yard Par 3. My Tee shot stopped 6 feet below the hole. I pulled it an inch left. 17 was a disaster. I pushed my drive and had to hit a low fade from behind a tree. I couldn't have hit it better. I was left with about 50 to the green. I hit a push skull into the trees and had to take an unplayable. I took my drop and proceeded to fluff my pitch. I chipped to a foot and ended up with a tripple bogey 7. The last is a double dog leg par 5. I drew my tee shot around the corner, but went a little too far left. I got greedy and tried to advance it too far from behind a huge pine and knocked it out of play. After a drop I put a three wood on the green from 230 and missed the 30 footer for par. Tapped in for bogey and 41. Not a bad start all things considered.

Shot 81 today 43/38, (69.2/121). I changed my putter grip today before the round (been practicing in my living room and this new grip felt really good, I dont even know if there is a name for it but anyway....) and said no matter how I do on the course Im not changing until the next round of golf if things go bad. Putt like a beast today, not one three putt, very confident from seven or so feet away, made a 25 footer and another 15 footer.....Driver didnt get much distance off the tee today but I hit it straight all day which I havent been able to do all year (I know the year is still young). Chipped real well, iron play so-so. All in all I was very happy with my round.

I played (yesterday actually) but couldn't get a small fix incorporated during the round, and as such, was playing for par/bogey on most holes. Then I went to the range, hit five six-irons, the last 4 of which were great... and so I quit. Grrrr. Oh well.

Played first league night Thursday, shot 40 par is 36. very windy and still wet in some places. 4 pars,4 bogies,1 birdie. the birdie was on the # 1 handicap hole. I never play well in wet fairways so I'm happy with the first night.
Hit the driver great, putted very well, only had trouble when I was in the soft wet fairways.

Shot 76 today with NO BIRDIES! I had 9 straight pars on the back side. In fact I had 16 pars, a triple, and a bogey. Maybe its time to concentrate on the putter a little bit. Although saying the greens are bumpy might be the understatement of the year.

Shot a wierd 75 today. I shot 42 on the front nine and a 33 on the back nine, it shouldhave been a 70 today. The story is, I was blocking the ball like crazy with my driver on the front nine, dehydrated and chunking the ball like crazy, I was not focused. I got a donut, a nutrigrane bar and a monster at the turn. Andd BOOM, I was super man. I actually hit a couple of thin shots, no chunking, I holed out for a birdie after a wild drive from 40 yards and Had 5 birdies in a row. I also airmailed a green straight into a drink. It was 120 to the front with a head wind, I hit a 9 iron, bye bye. I actually flushed it really good on that one. The front nine wasn't that good though, I think I hit it ob on the first hole for a double and a couple of bogeys and another double at the ninth. I was grinding like crazy today. I think I tried 3 different balls 2day also, nike plat(old) prov1, and b330s(airmailed). Also i think it was 90 degrees at noon, omg, 3 days ago it was like 20 degrees. My body didn't adapt well. This was a hell of a day for me. Anyone know how to keep the ball low with a driver, The ball usually floats with a 20 yard fade and a 260 yard carry. Im looking for a lower traj, that goes 250 yards of carry and 30 yards of roll not 260 carry and like 1 yard roll, that pisses me off so much.

Played 36 today. The first 18 was at Erie Golf Club. It's best described as "a thin topping of grass on top of cement and mud." Oh, and it's a very, very, very hilly course. There's a 580-yard par 5 into which I hit a 7-iron today. For the second shot... I also hit a sand wedge today and scraped the top of a rock just under my divot. The divot was not deep. Needless to say, I had a case of the "thins" after that...

Went out to my home course then (Lake View). Literally a 4- to 5-club wind blowing, but from the EAST when it normally comes from the WEST. Anyway, shot... 80. 43/37. On the last hole, they're doing some reconstructive work, so they put the tees at the start of the fairway. I used the range finder: 300 to the pin, slightly downhill. I flew it into the greenside trap, blasted out, and two-putted for a somewhat unusual GIR, no fairway, two-putt sand-save.

Best shot was a low cut 6-iron I hit into the wind at 11 after a decent drive. It's steeply uphill. Hit the front of the green and released back to a foot beneath the hole. Tap-in birdie. Very nice.

2 over 73 at Rancho Park in L.A. today in a steady 2 club wind. 2 Birdies, 2 bogeys and a double. I was making 3 and 4 footers like it was nothing. That was exciting. My iron play however, was not very sharp. Was bombing the driver though and controlling it well in the into the wind tee shots. Think I only missed 3 fairways.

Shot a 91 (44/47) to break 100 for the first time this past Saturday. It was a relatively short course, but I was happy. No 3-putts. No birdies. Only 12 putts on the front. Now we'll see if I can do this every weekend.

Great job. You not only broke 100 you smashed it. You almost broke 90 the same day. The first time I broke 40 I shot a 37. It's funny how when it's going well, you can get on a roll and shoot past a milestone. Keep it up.
