I shot a 94. Should have been a 90, screwed up a couple holes. Best round ever for me (first birdie ever!) but bad for most people.

I shot a 44 on the front 9 playing by myself, then a 56 on the back 9 playing with 3 guys who invited me ahead. I always seem to play much better if I am playing a hole alone. I have to think about what I am doing differently (rushing shots, etc.).

86 -- 3 putt city. Yanked three nice five foot birdie putts and was so irritated I bogeyed all three holes. Nothing like a 3-putt bogey to put you in a Zen mood.

51 + 47 (98). Just cannot hit the irons - driving range time. Missed lots of putts. Still, not a bad day - the driver is behaving better.

Today I had my worst round in over 3 years.

It was tough as it was the last weekend I was going to treat myself to an $$$ course. I cleaned my golf clubs. I arrived early to putt and chip. I felt really good about my pregame routine. And I just couldn't find a swing today. I one putted four greens, chipped in once and almost holed a shot from 30 yards (it was for par anyway) and I still broke 100. I shot 81 two weeks ago.

Sometimes this game is just so *$%!* frustrating ...

Went to the range and hit a bucket with my 8-iron.

Focused on balance today. Was pretty happy with the results. It helped my consistency a lot.

i shot a 37, but my irons sucked. i am using a neutral grip, and my swing plane is not very flat, but i will hook one really bad once in a while, its annoying because my irons used to be consistant and my strength. I am using regular flex 90 g t-step iron shafts, on my taylormade r7's. I hit my 6 iron about 165-170 usually and i have a regular grip size, my hands arn't huge, ANY THOUGHTS???

So I drive up to Des Moines (3 hour, 15 minute drive) to play a course I haven't played for almost 10 years. This is it's last year public; it's going country club next year. Never shot under 100 there but I am having a great year so I should at least be able to break 100 right? I shot 3 over the first 4 holes. Great start for that course (lot of out of bounds and water on nearly every hole- - - and more sand than I have played all year. Plus 22 mile per hour gusts). Then I proceed to shoot double, double, triple, quintuple, double to finish with 53 on the front. Got to get better on the back, right? I start with a quad, double, bogey, PAR, bogey, bogey, so now things are settling down. I could still break 100 if I bear down. I finish quad, triple, double for 54 on the back, 107 total. I had penalties on 11 holes. 7were off the tee where I was hitting 3 off the tee.

But I did not 3 putt all day and made several second putts over 5 feet. And the greens were just aerated, they sucked!

Still the company was great (ex brother- and sister-in-laws) so it was a great day!
My Equipment:

Goldwin AVDP Irons (5-10 plus PW);

Well I shot an unofficial 99..... and I say unofficial because I ran out of time for the last hole, it was getting dark and I couldn't see well anymore. That particular last hole is a par 5 that I've double-bogeyed the last 3 times I've played it, so I penciled in a 7. And yet, I improved my score by about 8 strokes from the last 2 rounds. :D It's my tee shots that are killing me right now... I'm improving but taking drops is killilng me.

Played from the tips, have not played in a month (was in Europe on vacation), and had an outing slowing down things horribly (as many as 5 groups on 1 hole sometimes).

Went 0 for 14 on fairways. Argh.

Still shot a 92 ;)

72! Yippie!

Oh, yeah, I guess I should mention it was a Par 3 course, so that's perfect bogey golf.

But good by my standards!

Played a dreadful round today. Shot a 48, but as bad as it sounds, it could've been worse. Through the first three holes I was 8 over. No it isn't a typo. Eight Over. Then a made a good bogey on 4 (1 handicap). A great sand-save on 5. Bogey (should've been par) on the short 6th. Bogeyed the 7th, punched my third shot from the woods onto the green. Scrambled for par on 8. And missed my par putt on 9 by a hair.

First 3 holes: +8
Last 6 holes: +4

Shot a 50 today from the whites. Not one single par. I did have an honest 316 yard drive, though. It was slightly downhill with no tailwind, just a beautiful hit. Measured it with some guys electronic tape measure.
