I shot an 82 at Pebble Creek in Tampa........beating my best ever 84 yesterday.

My new PowerBilts have paid for themselves already!

Played in a work outing with 3 other guys, 2 of whom had never set foot on a golf course before. We shot an 83 playing best ball, which I didn't think was awful. I sank a 45 foot right to left putt that left everyone calling me "Tiger" for the rest of the day.

83.

Hit 12 of 14 fairways but only 6 greens and my short game was bad ( chipping miserable and missed four 4 foot pars and two 4 foot birdie putts ). Again, the 70's elude me.

It will come this season no doubt though.

My driver and my hy6brids off the tee were lethal.

After struggling to break 90 at my club all year so far, I broke through Saturday morning with an 85 (42/43), and I followed it with an 89 (44/45) Saturday afternoon. Shot 87 (42/45) Sunday morning and an 88 (44/44) Sunday afternoon.

72 hole weekend. I'm golfed out for a day or two.

+7 39 on a 9 hole course, today. The course has no Par 5's, and has four Par 3's. This was my best round ever on this course, my game is finally starting to come together, if I putted better I would've shot even or under par.

Shot a 7 over 78 today. Front nine was a struggle with a five over 41, but came around on back nine with a 2 over 37. This is not my home course and play it a handful times a year, so I'm well pleased. Had 2 birdies, 8 pars, 7 bogeys, and 1 double bogey(thanks to a penalty stroke).

Played last weekend at PalmValley(palms coarse) Sat. and shot a 100. Then I played at Wigwam Red on Sun. and shot a 115. How embarassing!!! Still learning though and I'm having alot of fun doing it. Overall nothing was coming together those two days. I think for the most part I have to just stop trying to kill the ball.

First time out this year - shot a 45 on a local course that has a lot of cliffs and creeks that can get you into trouble. Really struggled around the greens but not bad for me so early in the season.

Well, Sunday, but I shot 71 (1 over par, 1.3 differential) at George Wright Golf Course.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
