That's nothing. Google China, train, new year and look at the images.

Yeah... I might get a motor bike if I go there. That looks horrible.  I'd be so stressed/pissed off at everybody around me. I'd almost have to drink and drive.

Okay, looking at the photo more closely, I take back what I said because this is pretty epic:

I've experienced 10 - 2 maybe 15 - 2, but that's like what, 40 - 4. Seriously, I'd shoot myself by the time I get to that bottleneck.

These are provincial and border crossing areas. The normal traffic jams are about as bad as the 101 freeway in LA. G4 is the worst road in China. I totally gave up driving there. . .

I took this when I was in Shanghai a few years back. When the traffic light changes, everyone just keeps going. This wasn't a bad one either.

that explains why bicycles are preferred mode of transportation for the majority of people in China.

One of the downside of economic progress, I guess.

Yes! I have said this about Chinese taxi drivers for the last 12 years. A red light is merely a suggestion that you might want to consider stopping. Many near death experiences, including a collision with a guy on a bicycle with 5 chickens on the back in a cage. They argued with each other for 5 minutes meanwhile I wondered off to another taxi.

Give the police ticket quotas like we have over here and you'd see their problems come to an end real quick. I'm now picturing a Chinese cop rolling up in gold plated squad car. :-)

At least they obey the speed limit! The drivers I've had in China will not go over the limit. Now in Poland, slowing down to the limit is a sigh of weakness!

That's because it's so congested, they can't! :-P

    • Day 138 (17 Sep 24) - Worked on setup and controlled swings (think punchy 3/4 swings) focused on keeping tempo as smooth as possible (of course this was in a very soggy backyard)….
    • Yes, Srixon is a good $22.99/dz golf ball, but at 60 compression. Worth a try. I have some in my "found" bucket.
    • Currently I changed to Callaway warbird, cheap and hard compression golf ball. For your desired compression I liked the Srixon Soft Feel, also cheap and a better feel off chips and putts.   Also I use Noodle golf balls for practice purposes (sim and practice rounds), they are soft and are pretty decent for the low price.
    • True, at least here in Argentina Coke is Number 1 by far. Pepsi is always the one trying to compare themselves to Coke. Despite that, I love the commercial from 2001 were a little boy purchase 2 cans of coke from a spending machine in order to stand over them so he can reach the Pepsi button.
    • I'm happy with cheaper golf balls if they have the right feel. What about the Maxfli Straightfli? Supposedly an 80 compression golf ball and at $19.99/dz. Has anyone tried them out yet?
