Jumping in here to keep up with updates. I am about to need a new pair soon and have really enjoyed my TRUE shoes.

So far mine have not leaked yet. I have a number of recent True's which have, but these so far have not. They are a bit of a tight fit so the sizing seems to be a little smaller than some of the previous versions. Overall, good, but not great.

The trouble is, there really isn't much that I can point you to that I would deem "best". I really haven't found something where they keep the low heel drop barefoot theory, plus big toe box, plus waterproof. Just haven't found anything that checks all the boxes. The True's mostly do this so I have stayed with them. But I would likely switch if I could find something better.

Did you get the holes around where the toe creases? Just curious as both my pairs did.

No. So far I haven't had leaking issues. I would know. Portland get as much rain as anyone. (In fact we are well on our way to breaking a record in October).

They are not extremely flexible. So I cannot say that I am shocked to hear about your problem. The material does not stretch or flex well at all.

I've actually played in the rain and they held up fine even with the holes.  They just look dirty and beat up with the holes. Maybe they've fixed the design somewhat?

Those aren't even bad ones. Some of the shoes on my college team have had huge holes in them.

Amen to this.

After a frustrating experience with True Motions (failing miserably on the "waterproof" part), I made the switch to Puma Faas shoes. They didn't have th wide toe box, but they are zero-drop, and actually waterproof. I sized up 1/2 size, and they fit OK.

I hope True figures things out, but until they do, I'm not spending any more money on an inferior product. I'd rather compromise (slightly) on fit than on quality.

How are the puma faas lites?   My true tours wont make it another season:cry:.  I am trying to find the closest thing to their comfort and functionality as I can.

Hopefully I'm better tomorrow

I have a pair. The heel drop is definitely noticeable… and the toe box is definitely smaller.

TRUE is working to take back the company and release a new shoe. And supposedly the Elements no longer suffer from the same wear issues as before.

I will say that I played with a guy on January 21 in the wet slop and a brand new pair of PUMA (Ignite Sport shoes) left my feet soaked by the third hole, while his Elements with holes in the sides had him still dry after 18.

Would you recommend them?  If not what other shoe would you recommend to get the feel of the tours or senseis?  Thanks

I still have plenty of TRUEs, so… I can't say, unfortunately. I am going to hold out as long as I can.

Size 10 in tour and sensei= size 10.5 in the elements?

Any idea when their new shoe is suppose to be released?

Hopefully I'm better tomorrow

I've been using the True Linkswear Las Vegas Sneakers and have probably 100+ rounds on them.  They haven't leaked yet.  And they are really comfortable.  They were comfortable out of the box and even more comfortable after several rounds.  They are the most comfortable shoes I have.  Actually, I suppose it's a tie with my Sanuk Vagabound shoe/slipper.

I really like them. The only issue for me is the narrower toe box, but other than that they are great. That was solved for me by bumping up 1/2 size.

The Faas Lites have no heel drop. It saya 0mm right on the heel. I am pretty sure I'd notice any drop, and I don't with mine.

This would be great news. I won't bother with the Elements anymore, but if True released a new model that was proven over time not to have the same issues. I'd jump back on board.

Oh, good. I must be thinking of the PUMAs I'm reviewing. The non-waterproof waterproof ones. They have 8mm.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.

    • On my car I got the extended power train warranty. I do read the fine print most of the time. Though at now 37, my eyes aren’t what they were 10 years ago.    The problem with most of these extended warranties on electronics and appliances is you don’t register the warranty with the place you buy the warranty from, which I’ve always found strange. Unless it’s GameStop then you know Alina drops her Switch in the next two years and the screen cracks they’ll replace it. No questions asked.    You buy a slow cooker at Walmart for $50 and the extended warranty is say $6, you have to go through a third party to register your product for the warranty, and it’s pretty damn annoying. Target is the same way. Anything you buy the extended protection on you have to go through a third party.    Why do retailers go through a “broker” for warranties? Because they don’t wanna deal with it? They make me talk to someone from another country, that I can barely understand, when I need my warranty fulfilled.   Sorry for the rant.
