I'm asking for two things, maybe $200 total:

1) A bench for my bar bells so I can get stronger. (No excuse for not getting to the gym!) and:

2) a beginning yoga set-up (video, mat, whatever else) so I can work on getting maybe just a little bit flexible!

I wish I could get an M5 for xmas, but I will settle for a box of Prov1, its sad but I can't think of anything golf I really need right now. well, maybe a zero restriction pull over, golf shoes, new 460 cc Driver, Voker spill mill wedge, new iron with Project X shafts....

My son and daughter playing more golf with me.

Well, I found out that I'm getting a Skycaddie SG3 from my mom. She couldn't figure out which one I had asked for so she just asked me which model I wanted. I'm pretty excited about that gift. I'm certain it will help me shave a couple of strokes this next season.

I just did something selfish today and got an early xmas present for myself!!
Couldn't resist... as I was just intending to browse at my local golf retailer and they just happened to have exactly what I was 'wishing' for at exactly the right price. I picked up two brand new Mizuno MP R Series wedges in Black Nickel (56.13 and 60.05) for $50 each (reg $149 each) and to top it all off... a brand new (though labelled demo) Titleist 585h in 19 degrees with an Aldila 85X Hybrid shaft for $125 (50% off)! I think I scored... had to do it. The wife wasn't totally onside at first but when I told her about the savings she seemed to be more at peace with it which ultimately relieves my guilt.

haha, I've been playing for about 16 months, so am still doing alright to be of 12, I just want to be more competitive in Pennants this year.

      Eh. You're tricking yourself. You can still miss right or left, and what you've created is a situation where you HAVE to miss (but the right amount) to make the putt. That's not for me.

      I can see a point in this.  If you play a straigth 3 footer with a square face aiming at the hole, you can miss both ways, with a close face or an open one. If you aim rigth an close the face at impact (like tiger used to do), physically you can still miss left or rigth but mentally you are only missing left (closed face) and having only 1 miss can give you a boost in confidence. I putt this way on fade putts and aim left and open the face on draw putts, never liked the uncerteinty of putting square to the target.  I apply something like this on approach shots, only use low or high shots and for middle shots I use a low shot with more loft ot a high shot with less loft. This shots are always what they meat low or high, a middle one can go a little towards the high and the low depending on the AoA of each shot making it mentally a little more uncertain what is going to be.
