IPS Version 4.1.16 Now Running

Here are the bugs and improvements and things that will affect y'all…

• Large number of bugs fixed…
• Performance improvements in: profile view, sitemap generator, posting replies, and Activity Streams
• When a member changes their email or password they now get an email confirmation
• There is now a setting to change the number of topics per page in the forum view
• You can now press ctrl/cmd+enter in any editor window to submit the reply
• There is now logic to prevent double-posting when the initial post encounters an error on submit
• Announcements can now be restricted by member group
• The editor will now show a message if a link that can be embedded (image, video, etc.) failed to embed for some reason. Admins get more detailed error reasons.
• When a member is banned/suspended the system now shows a more friendly page with information on their ban. Previously it showed a permission denied page.
• Security Questions for account security

I'll post a bit more when I learn more. I don't know how many settings I'll actually change, but I welcome the bold thing.  This may be the last post I make (I loaded the page before the upgrade began) where I don't enter the post with cmd-enter. I'm a keyboard nut.

There seems to be an issue that sometimes prevents a post from submitting. I've experienced it multiple times. They're looking into it.

Reloading (copy your response first!) works every time I've had to do it.

Erik don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.  I've been away from the forum for a bit (away from everything, actually) but I seem to be having troubles getting back in.

My mac at home (2016 mac mini running most current OS and safari) I'm having the following issues:  (1) logged in yesterday; was logged out today.  (2) Clicked on the "existing user sign in" button on the top right but nothing happened.  Had to click on the "create an account" button and then click the "existing user" button through that page.  (3) couldn't access the forum drop-down menu from the top menu bar on the TST home page.  

My work computer (year-old Dell running windows and IE, but it's a Gov't computer so it updates OS and browser fairly regularly) has the following issue:  won't stay logged in.  It literally logs me out every time I leave the site to go to a different window.  Happened today half a dozen times.

My iPhone (5s set to update everything automatically) and iPad (mini2, also updates OS and browser automatically) won't stay logged in for more than 24 hours.

WTF did I miss???

I cant open notifications or messages. Also the Forums tab wont open. I have to go to the browse tab and then go to forums. There are few other things too. Is something going on ? Ive restarted my computer in case it was just me. Is anyone else having trouble ? I dont know , im not very computer savvy at all. Everything worked yesterday.

I'm having the same problems using chrome, but my phone works.  It's weird.

The only thing I can repeat here is that the drop-down menus at the top are not working. Like "Forums" and "How To" and "Pages".

Update: All of the problems (except maybe the bit about being logged out) above are related to the drop-down menus not working (or any of the "overlay" type menus).

I've found out what causes the problem and am looking into a solution.

Thank you for pointing it out. It may have taken me a long time to notice that as I almost never have to log in and I rarely use the menus.
