Wow, lucky me. I have been selected by Warrior Golf to be the very first to try out their new drivers risk free, but I only have ten days to respond, or the offer will go to the next golfer in line. I guess I better hurry, huh?

I just got invited to a free dinner for my wife and I at a really expensive restaurant by some folks who do time-shares! We are both lucky guys!

I just won $10M in the Nigerian lottery (just need to wire a few bucks today and then I'll be able to collect), so I can afford much better than Warrior golf clubs.

All I can say is "better you than me."  No matter what you decide; the decision will echo thru the golf world.  Like the proverbial flap of an Amazonian butterfly wing; your action, or inaction, will have consequences too intricately woven to effectively separate from the fabric, or tapestry, of life (and golf) itself.  While you have been chosen to bear the burden; the rest of us must bear the result.  God speed and keep your eye on the ball.

Gotta love emails like these!

I got one today that said "My fat sister is skinnier than you! Click here to lose weight!"

Should I click it?  Not sure as my double cheese burger is keeping me pretty busy!

at least I am no longer getting them regarding increase in size of genitals. Now if only I would stop receiving solicitations from the bored housewife living just down the street. By the way, although there is no proof, I think I got on their list by simply being on another golf forum. I have gotten computer malware before after visiting that site. Again, no substantive proof.

Yup, as discussed in the past, WG is persistent. After getting some "free" golf balls from them, I started getting telephone calls. They seemed to have stopped, after I told the guy "Look, I am seventy five years old and I doubt if I will be buying golf equipment any time soon". He laughed, and said he would remove my name from their call list. The emails keep coming though.

Any clues as to the forum so we can avoid getting emails about small genitals? ;-)

oh, sorry to learn you suffer from that malady ;), but the forum is usually referred to as the "other" forum on here. Far be it from me, to cast dispersions though. (actually, that probably is not entirely true either).

Long story short, I think these clubs will work for me. I will report back after they arrive and play a bit. If anyone is interested I could provide a few more details as to why I am chucking my R15 woods.

Cheers

I have received 3 different emails from Warrior lately:

- Rapid Recoil Driver

- Tomahawk Driver

- Truer Balance Putter

So for fun, I called...the salesman had no idea what a Rapid Recoil Driver was, so I jerked him around a bit asking them to explain the differences.  He basically had no idea(because I took him off his scripted passages).  During his conversation, He stated the price was $349, then $359. Then I asked about the Putter deal. He was pretty frustrated by the time I finished.

I changed my mind about paying $500  + to try the Warrior clubs and so bought 2016 Taylor-made new m2 driver new 3 HL wood and 5  HL (slightly used) wood total was $550. The clubs are great. I don't have time to screw with clubs and send them back with tournaments coming up. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with Warrior's clubs but I didn't try them. They have hundreds of positive comments and many repeat customers. I do need a lob wedge though maybe I will try one from Warrior.?

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
