It makes sense to me the transition from top of backswing to downswing, but the followthrough, is there really that much secondary axis tilt?

I think 2D is distorting it. The right side bend makes it look more bendy than it is?

Seems exaggerated/poorly illustrated. At that angle your back is significantly bent backwards ala doing the limbo.

The pelvis should be tilted, too. The angle doesn't come completely from the spine bending. In the illustration the pelvis is vertical.
