Okay. I hadn't seen that one.

And now that I have… and as a former scientist… nothing in that video offends me.

Who cares?

I care.  I don't claim that it's very rational but it's there.  If he had just kept his head down and won some tournaments instead of making videos like the one I linked to, I probably wouldn't have any opinion of him.  Although I was already biased, he didn't impress me with how he handled the side-saddle putting episode either; he really came off as a petulant child.

In any event, professional sports need villains as much as they need heroes.   So people need to stop hating on the haters. :-P

Two things to remember with the pros -

1 - The 'mechanical' types on tour have better feel than you do.

2 - The 'feel' types have better mechanics (and understanding of mechanics) than you do.

Even the newest kids on tour.

This is directed at pretty much any of us....(the kid comes across just fine in this video too)

I'm gonna say again, even with that new video, if thats him claiming to be a "scientist" then you have an awkward definition of scientist vs what is widely recognized throughout the world as the definition.  Get over it, move on, stop hating the guy for having a passion for numbers behind the game and I stress loosely using the term "scientist" to describe it, it was a funny/fun feature video put together.

Exactly! It is just a few guys that hate him for their own personal narrative that claim to be offended by a nickname or article title. No different than any other nickname on tour.
