This is masochistic. I guess I'd go backwards if I were this guy, less to clear.

Ah, Arizona.

Not a fan of anything this gimmicky. Looks like the first guy played a decent shot, but just took a ridiculously optimistic line...

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

I don't think it's quite as steep as it looks.

I don't think it's gimmicky either. It's just a severe hazard you should avoid.

Is it just me? The angle of the Instagram video made it look worse than it is.

This is the course PXG owns in Arizona.    The have two normal courses and then a 9-hole called the "Bad Little 9"   which is where this hole is.

The Bad Little Nine
Welcome to the toughest, most unsympathetic par 3 in the world. With deep bunkers, gnarly hazards, wildly undulating putting surfaces and wickedly shaped greens running throughout the course, these nine holes will keep the drinks and four-letter words, flowing.

Sounds gimmicky to me.

BTW I would have played it to the right more, like the first guy in the second video.

I know it's in Arizona... But honestly it reminds me a little of "The Devil's A-Hole" in front of the 10th at Pine Valley... At least the depth of it anyway.

That looks like a job for Phil Mickelson to me.
