"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 62: 2/1/2023

I was able to get in a nice long practice session today. 

After warming up a bit, I took a down the line and a caddie view video of my swing. I sent my videos to Yoda for review.

I know I still have a few things to work on. It's getting better.

I used the putting mirror for about 10 minutes just to check that my alignment is about where I wanted it. Then I did this drill:

Today I hit putts of 12 to 16 feet into a 4 foot by 4 foot box.

I did some chipping practice for 15 minutes with both the 60 and 54 wedges. 
Then I finished up by hitting short pitch shots to 6 different targets.

Overall, a good day of practice.

Day 93, February 1, 2023

Did some work with a pool floatie/swimmie (the things that go on your arms). Getting decent with the backswing. Through V-Day.

Day 32: Just did a super speed session today.

Day 44. Heated range today. Worked on speeding up my body rotation and keeping the same arm/wrist feel. I can feel now when I’m out of sync which helps. Did mostly driver because these mats are stiff and I want to limit hitting off them to protect my left wrist.

Day 43 - Slow motion wedge swings in the house today, practicing the movement for different swing lengths.

Speed training today. I realized I totally fell off the speed training wagon .

Day 22/24 Feb 2: forgot to post yesterday, dang.

 

Today I spent time doing slow mo backswings, concentrating on pushing my right butt straight back.

Day 94, February 2, 2023

Did a lot of planning today, so putted while I was on the phone for a bit.

Day 33: did the yardstick putting drill while on a conference call.

Day 23/25 feb 3: spent time at the range with my phone of the tri pod checking my setup while hitting some wedges. Did some slo mo swings at home as well working on my right leg

Day 95, February 3, 2023

Hit balls for 20 minutes at the end of a long day. Proud of myself for this one, actually. Watched the right elbow a bit more on the backswing today.

Day 64: 2/3/23

I started the morning out in the garage net doing blocked practice all with the 5 iron. I say blocked practice because I only used the 5 iron. But I did rotate through a 3 different feels that I'm trying to perfect. 

I finished the evening with some slow motion 7 iron swings in front of the mirror. I have a piece at the start of my downswing that I'm trying to smooth out.

Day 34: Mirror work and a super speed session today.

Day 46. It’s 45F in my basement.🥶 Managed only a few swings.

Day 35: The range was open 🎉 Went and worked on my priority piece and filmed to upload to Evolvr.

Day 65: 2/4/2023

Got to the indoor range early. I did a ton of random practice. After a warm up, I used all the clubs in my bag. Selecting them with a random number generator on my phone. Then trying to focus on one priority piece at a time as I worked through the bag. 

Then I did some pitching practice. I tried to hit targets at 25 yards, but by hitting some lower and higher pitches. ... Eh, it was okay. 

After that I took out the putting mirror for five minutes just to check my set up and then put the mirror away. Then (you guessed it) I did the Random Speed Control Drill. Today was 15 to 19 footers into a 4'x4' box.
