Went to Golf Evolution for four hours this morning. Got about an hour of practice in, farted around a little bit, and cleaned up a little bit.

Day 47: 1/27/2027

Went to the range today to work on my priority piece. Overall, I felt good about the swing. I started with some block practice with the 6 iron. But then got in some random practice, hitting each club to specific targets.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 7 (27 Jan 25) - Cruddy day outside, goes along with how I am feeling.  Did get in some rolls with the putter / worked on distance control from varied distances.  Even did some heads up drills (ala Jordan Speith).

Range day working with the 6 & 7 irons.  As we have grass and it’s been beat to death, I hit off short tee pegs.  Solid session with the irons - even if there were a few wonky hosel rockets with the 7 when I did not stay in the process.  Finished the session with some work with the driver, focused on setup and tempo.

Day 120 - 2025-01-28

Had an hour between lessons today, so, I got 40 minutes of work in. Every path was between 4Β° and 11Β° right. They should be when I'm exaggerating this transition/downswing piece.

Day 48: 1/28/2025

Trapped in meetings all day, and big old company dinner tonight. So, I took out the putting mirror and rolled some balls down the lines on the carpet in my hotel room. I brought the putting gates with me so I was able to use those as well.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 9 (29 Jan 25) - Weekly nine hole round today - as we play up a set of tees, only put seven clubs in the bag: driver, 3wHL, 6i, 8i, Pw, 54* and putter.  Was a good long game day, wedge work was off.  Neat thing seeing the green from non-typical approach distances.  Playing a β€˜new to me course’ tomorrow…full bag will be in tow.

Day 49: 1/29/2025:
Last night in the hotel. So, I did more putting on the hotel room floor with the putting mirror and the lines on the carpet. Then I did some slow-mo swings with my 7 iron in front of the mirror for a while.

Day 28 - 25 minutes of range work. Weight moves are feeling good, with good results. Time to upload some film. Also 25 minutes of chipping work.

    • Day 50: 1/30/2025 Back home again, today. Got to do some full speed swings hitting balls into the garage net.
    • Something just popped into my head, based on your mention of the folks who "know the rules" but are generally wrong.  Another comment I read was "the Rules ALWAYS said.....".  When I come across those I often go to  www.ruleshistory.com to see if the rules ever said that.  You can find every (almost?) version of the rules since the first set in 1744.  Its fun to return to the conversation and say "You're a little bit right, the rules said that at one time, but that changed in 1984.  You've been playing under the wrong rule for 40 years!"
    • Hi, checking back in to see if any St. Louis area golfers get together for a round or three during the year.  I have recently dropped my membership in a local league this year to work on my game and meet other people.  I would love to hear from anyone that would be interested in meeting for a round in the St. Louis area.   Rick
