Day 9 (16 Dec 21) - temps in the 70’s (eastern NC in Dec), got outside and worked on bump and runs with the 9i in the backyard.  Gotta love weather breaks like these.

Day 416: Worked on my priority pieces today with 6 iron and driver and filmed them. They felt off, but looked ok on the video. Finished with the MEVO Plus and some 7 iron swings.

Day 10 (17 Dec 21) - Birdie Ball and 8i today.  Worked on the full swing and getting the desired shot shape.  This was after watching a bit of Golf School this am on the Golf Channel and they had the Golden Bear giving some tips.  Worked on keeping the arms extended, and that led to getting a slight draw shape.  Best shot was I the last set where I struck it solid enough to “backspin” the Birdie ball.   Never did that before.

Day 417: Got some work in before the snow. Noticed in reviewing yesterday’s work that my head was moving back a bit too much in my efforts to get my hands higher. Focused on keeping the head steadier while getting the hands higher.

Day 48 - December 18, 2021

Half an hour after juniors working on the soft right shoulder. It's funny how good I can hit it when I'm staring back at a mirror the whole backswing (behind me), get there okay in about five or six seconds, and then just hit it from there. 😛

Day 58 (12/18/21) - Putting practice today. I'm switching to arm lock and so spent most of the practice focusing on setup and form in swinging the putter.

Day 139:

Took a day off yesterday to rest a sore neck.

Today worked really hard on the SLOW part of 5S. I guess I was also working on my cupped wrist backswing feel and a little bit of palmar flexion stuff on downswing, but my practice intent was to practice going slow and I think I did a good job. Used Mevo to track club head speed, and once I got in a groove I didn’t have any swings higher than 75mph (typical 90-95mph depending on my energy level and how warmed up I am).

Day 11 (18 Dec 21) - Worked through full swing keying on weight shift and head position during takeaway-top of backswing-just before impact and post impact in front of the mirror, no club, working consciously through each.  Controlled tension is not easy.

    • The equipment guy from Taylormade talking about how Tiger wants the most spin possible because he wants to be able to take spin off, not try to add spin.  I wonder for any person, no matter how they swing, is it easier to take spin off the ball versus add spin on?  I know for me, I tend to launch everything with higher launch angle and lower spin. I hardly ever get that ballooning type shot unless I am hitting into a severe headwind. I think for me, playing equipment and golf balls that give me the most spin is better for my iron and wedge game.
    • Day 249 - Did 9 to 3 drills with 7i and Driver, then full swing Drivers. For about the first 10 full swing Drivers, I used foot spray on the face to check consistency of strike. Hit five balls (all over the face), cleaned and re-sprayed the face and hit 5 more (much better consistency).  I hit about 10 more Drivers trying to go through my routine and finish the swing with my chest facing the target. All in all was pleased with the results.  Next hit some Heaven woods, 7i and PW. Finished hitting finesse wedge shots with my SW and LW, working on stock shots with these clubs of about 40 yards and 30 yards, respectively. On the practice green, I picked a pin about 60 feet away, to which I hit shots (10 for each club) with chipper, SW then LW. For the chipper, I used a "chitch" ("pip") motion, whereas for the wedges I used a finesse motion. I had the best results with the SW, getting 8 of 10 balls to 5' or less, however results with the chipper and LW were generally pretty good too. Finished by hitting putts to a 18" x 18" square (marked by tees) from 15', 30' and 45' to work on speed.  And as noted above,  @boogielicious was there working through the bag.
    • Bacon Park in Savannah is a Donald Ross design that I haven't laid eyes on in decades.  But it's probably worth checking out--per the website it was 'renovated' in 2014.  My grandfather played to a 4 handicap there back in the middle of the last century.  And back then he complained that Augusta National charged five dollars for parking during their April tournament.  That Bobby Jones fella sure had some big city ways, living up there in Atlanta.
    • Day 617: Range today. Worked mostly on tempo with a variety of clubs. @Bob M was there doing drills.
    • set PR with a 76, immediately replayed same track and shot 86 lol. It was a good 4th
