Day 72 (22 Feb 24) - An easier day (slight muscle pull), focused on some easy bump and runs with 8i in the backyard.  One of my fave drills as I tend to use this shot most rounds when dealing with “n-GIR” situations.

Okay, I'm back on day 1. I think I'd be up around day 60 or 70 right now, but I haven't been posting anything as my family and I did a no-screen-time-for-a-month challenge. 

So, today is Day 1... again.

2/23/2024:

Got some good range work in today. Pretend played my tournament course at the range over lunch. 

I also did some good gates work on the indoor putting mat. 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 229: Range day! Was trying to film swings to see progress and try some feels, but the wind kept blowing my tripod over. Sad face. Still, worked on a couple of feels from mirror work for about 30 minutes.

Full swing work continues, but slowly on the downswing. March will be when I start to do it with a little speed, with an eye toward the end of the month when I'll go south for a few rounds.

Day 59: 2/24/24

Stack Training session 1 of the Full Speed Spectrum. This is my 4th consecutive Full Speed Spectrum training program. My ending speed in the last session that finished 2/18 was 105 with my driver.

My e-speed today was 112. My last session in the previous program was 111. Good start, I imagine.

Day 73 (24 Feb 24) -Took yesterday as a break day, back to it today.  Worked on  pre-shot setup and follow thru using 7i and hard foam balls.

Day 482, February 24, 2024

45 minutes on slower downswings after JEP and a lesson. I can't let the grip get too slack or the results aren't quite as good, even though I'm going slower. The shaft tends to stand up a little bit in my pseudo-transition.

      Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.

      Differential vs Course Handicap

      As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
