There is a new book out by Tom Coyne....He had authored a Course called Ireland a few years ago. His book on Scotland is fabulous and gently describes many of the courses. He played 117 rounds in 56 days. I highly recommend anyone with thoughts of going to Scotland reading this....and for those who have gone, It is a must.

I couldn't put it down. Good stuff both for writing as well as travel info. His Ireland was great also for same reasons.

Neat - never heard of him...I'm always looking for books to read during my commute.  My library doesn't yet have the Scotland book, but I just put a "hold" on the digital version of A Course Called Ireland.  Should get it in about two weeks (it says).

I’m enjoying it so far. One interesting part is when he went to see an old friend and teacher in Philadelphia to tune up his game. The instructor taught him to read putts with his feet! It was Mike Dynda. @iacas, do you know him? He is an AimPoint instructor!

Pretty well actually, yes. He and Dave bonded over being bald. :-)

      Day 237 (26 Dec 24) - played 18 with niece and her husband at one of the local courses.  We were first out - so we pretty had our own pace of play.  First few holes were a struggle, but the groove started by hole 5.  The green side wedge game kicked in - had several kick in up and down pars.  Best of the day - had my first ever sandie birdie on #9. It’s a neat par three with a pot hole bunker - found it off the tee.  Had about a 22yd shot from the bunker to the flag.  Hit an easy shot out with the 54 that hit softly and gently rolled center cup.  Had several other close wedge shots into others that were close but no hole out.  Was a great day with the green side wedge game - and seeing solid fruit from the drills.

      Day 16: 12/26/2025 A little more mirror work today. Then out to the garage net.  The first part of my PPJ swing thought is really starting to stick. The J still takes some focus. Plus, I'm still putting a priority on getting all the way to my finish.
