I'm home watching the Senior British Open, (only because it's raining) and almost laughed out loud when I saw the leader board. It amazes me how this Tour survives. The 50-ish guys coming out about now bored us to death in their "prime" and are now the "face" of a faceless organization. They are the players who make it hard for me to accept the point of view some here have of there being a huge jump in talent from the Nicklaus era to the one they played in. Though I see the increase in skill in todays players, these 50ish Seniors were at the same level as guys ten years or so their elders in my opinion.  With the exception of Langer, who is over 60 and still pounding these guys, and Miguel, who stands out for... well, being Miguel, who else out there would you tune in to watch? Certainly nobody or any reason I can think of, except to try and get a "golf fix" when you have nothing else to do on a rainy day.

Yeah, well, you know...that's just like, your opinion man.  👌 :-P

I'm not exactly fumbling the remote to watch 'em, but when I do, still looks like plenty of 'em have serious game.  And to answer the Q:, I enjoy watching MAJ, Strick, & Jerry K., and always like seeing some of the not-so-regular-anymore's that were big tour names back in the day.

They have a TV deal, sponsors, and the purses aren't as large. It's not crazy that they're in business.

But yeah, I've never spent any time watching it either. Nor do I have a desire to.

The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open (popular Champions Tour event every year) is held like 8 minutes from my house and while I used to go every year when it was the PGA Tours BC Open I have never been to the new event, for reasons said.  I get that they’re still good players obviously but going to watch Bart Bryant bores me.  Stricker would be the only guy I’d go to watch because he’s the man but he’s so damn good he can still really compete on tour.  Phil in a couple years if he came, would get me to go.

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

  • iacas changed the title to The Faceless Senior Tour - Yawn....

No real interest for me either. And Stricker? Just not a fan. A total bore. Zero personality and wears that stupid cap pulled down to hide from the world. One day he's retiring, no just cutting back, no gonna play full schedule, blah blah..whatever.
