I don't know the age or what these are worth, but paid $4.00 at Veteran

s store for this Titanium King Cobra 5 wood, senior flex oversize, offset. Nothing special, just liked the look and feel.

As I said, nothing special. It also has sole rails (sort of).  I Saw the same club on EBAY for $22  BUT it has NOT sold..

The question is ... will it hit.

The best club I pack is a late 90s Burner Bubble 5W. It saves me after some of the worst tee shots imaginable.

Resale value be damned.

I seldom buy new for a lot of reasons, the least of which is the initial price when you can wait a year and get the identical club for $150 less. I also do not think that golf clubs "wear out" much. As far as newer technology, I am a bit suspect until after it has been proven. The new Titleist with its changeable weight in a sort of "bias" tube is not all that different than  TM's SLDR,  Of course TM is much more "gimmicky" than Acushnet, but I will give Titleist credit for their innovations over time.  The vet store purchase was only a whim of opportunity spotting something that just seemed would be easier to hit based on  experience from by gone days. I too, had the burner with bubble shaft in the past,  Now, I did purchase a new iron set from Tour Edge which was long over due given my penchant for holding on to a twenty year old set of Hogan Edge irons.  The new irons do make a difference.

I should probably exercise caution  in discussing Titleist as a past associate, I had signed a NDA form. I may or may have not  violated the terms of said agreement (unknowingly). It has been many years however. I left the company in 1998 and to tell the truth have not kept up.

I would imagine that after 10 years of technological Advance, redesign, Etc, what little information you had 10 years ago is virtually worthless today. Like a dead cat corpse. Best regards, - Marv

I would agree with that. I was mostly referring to administration, supply chain, logistics. I was not all that involved with R&D, but mostly with QA, warehouse, and data base management for Scotty Cameron.
