Did I miss this thread the first time around? I can't stand him either. Mostly I think it's his face, his hair, and his clothes.

So you’re OK with his shoes?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

He kinda looks like he could be Timothy Olyphant’s older brother. He kinda sounds like his character from “Justified”—Raylan Givens.

NBC's announcing to me is just old and stale. I wasn't crazy about Fox but at least they were throwing new spaghetti at the wall. NBC also needs to buy a new drone camera. So many more YT accounts have better drone cameras.

I listen to him closely, and each other commentator, and they have a lot of good points they make. PA makes some inappropriate comments occasionally , but it's probably very difficult to be flawless. I would probably mute the TV based on commercials, and not the commentators. I can't stand TV commercials as they are geared towards low IQ individuals it seems.

Paul Azinger will no longer be the lead golf analyst for NBC Sports, ending his five years with the network at the Ryder Cup without even knowing that was his final event.

First person that came to mind to replace him would be Colt Knost with CBS...  Might be too big of a jump for NBC to gamble on though going from on course commentator to lead golf analyst.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
