  1. Personally not a Ping fan here. But you said you are fitted, it's all up to you. You can always order custom length shafts at Titleist. I did the same with my woods, but I like my shafts a little shorter. They say a shorter shaft gives a bit more control.
  2. The spin should be lower that 3000. In my new driver i have 2460. Look at tourpro’s they want even lower spin arround 21-2300. As i said a stiffer tip will help you bring the spin down and lower the ballflight
  3. You should try a shaft with a stiffer tip. Do you know what is the spin number is at the moment? A high ballflight is normally not a bad thing as long the spin is good. I just bought a new driver Titleist 917 D3 with the Aldila Rogue Max stiff shaft it’s 68 gram
  4. I think it's to early to start a fitting. you first should build a swing that works for you. after you are able to make desent contact on a regular basis it's time for the next step. so to start with standard should be fine
  5. Top 20. I think he is more ready than we know. and he looks fit. Would be something to see him in contention in the Masters.
  6. pump and run your chips. i think it's the only way. also remember that the ball takes less slope in these conditions
  7. I think the shaft will have influance on the spin. If you look at the kickpoint of a shaft. With a verry stiff tip you will get less spin? However that C-taper shaft is to hard a shaft for me, i do get a low flight but loose to much carry distance, i’m not used to play at links courses so i don’t like that. i use the kbs tour’s in stiff flex inmy irons and love that. As for my woods i was fitted in the Aldila Rogue Max stiff shafts.
  8. Hi Tom here, 40 years old. used to play single hdc 7. After not playing enough last years i,m now a 10. Looking to get back in it.

  10. As allways you should try them first. I thought i would go for The Callaway epic sub zerro, but i didn’t like The feel at all, this is a personal thing. Not saying iT is a bad club. I ended up with Titleist 917 D3 but The mizuno JPX 900 was pretty good at 2nd. Try what feels best for you and than dail in The settings and shaft.
  11. I think what is Most important that The club specs are what you need, not The amound off money you spend. If a 50 $ club does iT for you than there is no need to spend more. I like to have The same feel on my woods so i would like The same Shaft type in them
  12. My standard mis is left. About 80% of my misses are left. I think i Will get better with my new ordered woods with a Fade setting. On trackman my results were great. Did a session 3 times. Never had an average carry distance off 238 m (not yards) before.
  13. I think you should not focus on the settings. For as far as I know Titleist is the only brand that can change lie and loft separately. When I was fitted for my 917 D3 I had 3 sessions. so before I bought I was on trackman 3 times and not on the same day. We could see my almost standard miss is a hook / snap hook. so we worked on that. my setting is D4 so some extra loft and a slightly open setting. Indeed you can see that the club face is just slightly open, but for me this makes me more confident that I will not miss left. I can change a weight sleeve in the back also, this is put in a fade setting also. This is what I was fitted for and I will not change the settings. To make things clear, this doesn't mean I can only hit fades of the tee, I'm still able to work the ball with a draws and fades. I needed to work very hard for that with my old woods. specially the fade was not easy. hope this helps
  14. My highest loft is a 58 also. I think I will buy a 60 degree, but not as a distance club, actually it will be the bunker club in my bag. my 58 has only 8 degrees bounce, this makes it more suitable for all kids off shots only it will not help me in the bunker. I'm still not sure, because I have 14 clubs already. Can't seem to get rid of my good old 3 iron.
  15. I think it sure makes a difference. I think it's just as important as the right club head. Specially with todays woods the right setting. The right shaft gives the best ball speeds and the best distance. That's why you always should get fitted.
  16. I'm getting there, my bag is always work in progress. I just ordered new woods last week. I Played the Mizuno JPX 825 woods. I should be done for the upcoming season. I will play this: Woods: Titleist 917 D3 with Aldila ROGUE MAX 65 Stiff 0,75" shorter, on a D4 setting with 12 gram fade Titleist 917 F2 with Aldila ROGUE MAX 75 Stiff 0,5" shorter, with the same setting as driver Titleist 818 H1 19degrees Aldila ROGUE MAX 90 Stiff with the same setting Irons: 3 iron to PW Mizuno MP59 with KBS Tour Stiff shafts Wedges: Mizuno MP T7 Blue IP with KBS Tour Stiff shafts lofts 52 and 58 Putter: Taylormade Ghost 770 Tour putter
  17. I just ordered the Titleist 917 D3 it has a 440 head. not sure if this is what you are searching for.
  18. A grandslam for sure, it takes 4 different courses over the season.
  19. I really hope Sergio does it. But think Oosthuizen will win it
  20. Teeshot on number 10 Los Arqueros Benahavis Spain.
  21. These where taken at the golfcourse on the Netherlands Island Texel. The caddy book on the first picture said, aim for the lighthouse, the weather was so bad we couldn't see it. On day 2 it was much brighter
  22. don't go there unless your Bubba Watson.

    Joost Luiten

He had decent chances yesterday, he was within 10 feet 6-7 times. you can't make them all but at least he should have made 3 off them. 36 putts is just way way to many, look at the stats off Speith same amount off GIR's but 9 putts less, and 7 strokes better score
  24. did it really snap or did the shaft just came loose off the head? hard to tell on the picture. Otherwise it is clearly not the head or mizuno to blame but KBS. personally i never had this, i'm a mizuno player for many years now. it sucks tho that you lost the head.
  25. 69 on a par 70. easy course. had 4 birdies and 3 bogeys. it was a practice round on a friday afternoon for competition that next sunday. with 3 of my team mates
