I never saw a bet I didn't like. That said, I would never ask a stranger to bet, but i'll gladly accept a bet from them. We play 5$/stroke on Friday afternoons. Most of our matches involve money. Never more than 100$ changes hands. I keep a betting roll in my bag when i'm on the course, just in case.

My favorite clubs are my 56* custom ground Edel, and my Taylormade SLDR 3 wood. Two clubs that i'm always happy to to swing, as it seems most of the time they can do no wrong. I took out my 917f to put the sldr back in, it's just the perfect 3 wood for me. The shaft is perfect, the head looks just right, it feels like a part of me. So I guess thats at the very top of my list.

Most definitely, and much easier. Women like Paige Spiranac (drool) don't have to be great golfers, they just have to get themselves out there to be seen, then the money floats in.

Mixed bag or all one manufacturer

Mixed. I'm very particular about which clubs go in my bag. -
What irons are similar to the Ping G10?
Apoc81 replied to scotth's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Ya, go for the new G400 irons. They'll last forever, and my ****, they are the sexiest game improvement clubs I have ever seen. And skip the 3 Iron, and get a hybrid in there instead. And if you have room and can find one, get a Callaway ApexUT Driving iron, or even the new Ping crossover. (My ApexUT may not always be in my bag, but it's always in my heart.) :p -
I think the only golfer as sexy as Green is Paige Spiranac (sp). Wow. I know she'll never be the next Annika or anything, but for beauty, she's at the top of my list. I've seen many of both of their modelling shots. Both absolutely stunning. Saw Danielle Montgomery at a couse in PEI, back before I got hurt. She was playing in the womens LET at the time. We were both at the Links at Crowbush, PEI. She's even more stunning in person.

Noe. If PED's and Blood doping were happening, The Tour de France might be exciting once again.... Same as pro sports, baseball, football, hockey. People want to see home runs, they want to see freakishly large line-backers, bigger, stronger Hockey players. It brings in viewers, big time. During the home run races, McGuire and Bonds, and a few others, had bodies just short of IFBB pro bodybuilders (which is a competition that truly requires and encourages PED's, natty's need not apply. People tuned into see those powerful home runs, to see how fast man could run 100m, to See the doped up Americans completely shutting out a field at Tour de France, and to see hockey players play real, rough hockey instead of the current poke checking, nobody touch me, why does it seem like Ballet hockey game. They are pro's, the best of the best, so why not choose to get better? As long as its no amateur sports, I say let the dogs loose. There are plenty of safe steroids, as found in many studies and medical journals, Testosterone and HGH alone can help us be healthier and happier, less prone to muscle and bone density loss, increased sex drive, and a longer, and more active life. It can make all of us better athletically (until you finally start suffering from megorexia, (Can't get big enough, fear of losing muscle, etc)), and it can make up much more productive in every day life. Why not remove the stigma of "steoids are bad" to "some steroids are bad". Not huge doses of either. 100mg 2x week of Test Enanthate, with 3-4iu HGH, and a healthy diet, and within 12 weeks, you will be a better, happier man, in a healthier body than you have ever had. You become your best you. Now the problem is, "bad steroids", such as trenbolone, d-bol, Oxy Menathol, and any other Veterinary grade steroid, create a bad rap for all steroids, those are the ones that cause "Roid Rage", and other serious health problems. But when used properly, hormones like test and hgh only help maintain a higher quality of life much longer. Just as long as you don't cross over to dark side of gear. Thankfully in Canada, you can legally posses steroids, you just can't sell them. As for me, I haven't done PED's since I was 22, once I finished university hockey(like the rest of the team), but I have been on HGH for almost 3 years (prescribed, and not something I ever asked for, but with 3rd degree burns and nerve damage, it can help rebuild). TLDR: Some steroids should be legal for all living humans, others should never be allowed in the hands of humans, but the ones that should be legal only help the average male. Sorry for going on and on, but it comes down to one thing, TW has never done PED's, the guy isn't big at all, just at his peak, natural musculature. Thats what happens when you spend 25+ years in the gyum

Looking Info on a Copper Putter I Picked Up Cheap
Apoc81 replied to Apoc81's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
More looking for its history, years made, etc. It rolls so damn good though, the feel was incredible. -
what golf related Fathers' Day gifts did you receive?
Apoc81 replied to Hacker James's topic in Golf Talk
I'm not a father, that my nephew in my avatar, but I still have a dad! He absolutely loved hitting the Titleist 915D2, so I bought him that, along with the matching fairway 3 wood. My sister bought him a new Scotty Cameron, while my mom bought him a golf bag and new Vokey's along with 3 boxes of the 2017 proV1. I got him irons last year, So his bag is full with the last clubs he'll ever need. He's 56 and not the type to just buy brand new clubs. -
He most certainly shot him, but there's much more to the story imo.

Looking Info on a Copper Putter I Picked Up Cheap
Apoc81 replied to Apoc81's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
NObody? I know it certainly has the most feel of any putter I have ever used. Took it to the putting green, I couldn't believe the feel. I used powdered dr scholes foot spray, and could always tell where I struck before I looked at it. id just like to know more, info on this one is sparse. -
A 240 3w second shot on a 520yd par 5 literally rested on the edge of cup. Three others were with me and saw everything. Best 3w shot I've ever hit. Landed short on the fringe, popped up on the green, and rolled to the pin. 1 inch more and I'd have had my first and only albatross. At the time I was competing in a tournament, and it was on the 5th hole, I was already 1 over, brought me to -1, and carded three birdies and one bogey to win the tournament. Completely turned my round around. Since it was amature, I only got a (pure silver) trophy and a set of Ping G10's. 3-people.

It's still gold pressed.

Or perhaps she was talking about total distance, and not just carry? There is only one set of golden rules, the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition.

Got it at a yardsale, with Callaway Steelhead X14 Iron set (like new), a Taylormade Rescue 3 Hybrid and a RAZR Hawk Driver for ten bucks, I"m selling to those clubs for 200$, but I have a question about another club that was in the bag. Its a copper, center shafted, left and right hand putter. It's called the Bob Mann Who-Dinni, and while I can find other Who-dinni' putters, none of them are copper (this one is, it has the slight greenish oxidization on it , or the same shape. I know nothing about it at all, and info is sparse. I do buy and sell stuff, so i'm curious. Chances are its junk and worth nothing, but it could be otherwise. I have seen the same club online in steel, but nothing on the copper edition. Pics below, any help would be appreciated. Does it have any worth? Or is it one of those "Bargain bin $1 clubs" you find at flea markets?

Golf certainly needs a new Tiger. Or the old one back.

Miller won it on Sunday. Nuff said. JT will just be the guy who had a really good round at an open. Miller is the guy who shot 63 on Sunday to win it. Big difference in my opinion. And while I have NEVER hit persimmons, I have hit real Balata balls. That alone gives Miller the edge for me. Its like hitting one of those quarter machine rubber balls, except it doesn't fly! Anyway, better than the US Open, I SEEM to have gotten my driving on point. Hit 13 fairways today and lost one ball off the tee (and the only ball I lost). Shot an 81. 5 of the 9 shots I gave up were on putting. Greens were really, really slow, they needed to be shaved, and EVERYONE was leaving everything short.

I don't even disagree with Miller. This was a joke of an open. It felt like every other tour event. There was no prestige like the masters, no ridiculously punishing courses like the Open (sorry folks, there's only one open) , if anything, it felt like a small tournament that none of the top stars show up to. In my opinion, I was underwhelmed. That said, I still have tremendous respect for what Koepka did. He hoisted a trophy I could only dream of. Good for him. Yes, well, missing fairways by a mile will blow up your score. I'm evidence of that. That is not what he said at all. But to that point, they were driving into much smaller fairways with clubs and balls most of us couldn't even duff a ball with nowadays. I think you should get on youtube and watch millers round.

This is golf without Rory playing well, Tigers future uncertain, and DJ not in contention. The only person the crowds seemed to care about was Fowler, and Koepka towards the very end. Golf needs another HUGE star, and there doesn't seem to be one floating around the young Amateurs just yet. But, no matter the sport, every generation has it's Tiger, it's Jack, its Palmer, its Orr, Gretzky, Mathews, etc etc. Someone will come up soon who will be challenging Tigers records, and gunning for Jacks Koepka's GF looks a lot like my wife (from what little I saw of her). My wife better not have been away at the Open practicing polygamy while I was golfing! Overtime at the hospital, my ass!

All props to Koepka. He hit the fairways, nailed the greens, and scrambled when he had to (which wasn't often). He seemed to get better as the final round went on. I'm still sad DJ didn't make the weekend. I always like to look at Paulina. (Gretzky was a hero of mine, as a child of the 80's). But she just had baby 2 anyway, so she wouldn't have been there. But man, Rory, what's going on. I'm driving as good as he is right now. I may not have the distance (about 270 carry when I hit it well), but my drives are all off the course too. He can't put a weekend together at all, or even make it to one.

You made me sad. Payne Stewart is the only player I liked as much as Tiger when I was a teen. He is still missed.
