Big names... thing these guys are going to start grouping starts...They need to play "X" amount of tours. every year and they also want long breaks.. 3 or 4, and then a month off, etc... Money is no longer a reason to play for most of them and it is about the Majors... Win a major, set for life... Finish 40th every week and get no exposure, you will be playing for a long time to pay the bills.. Look at the money these 20 years old have vs guys that have been on the tour for 20 years... Absurd... Marketing 101...

Maybe this... There is much on the web these days to generate excitement in a sport, a celeb, etc... Golf, as we see it without Tiger is boring. I don't think so, but those making money off of it, DFS, PGA, Sports clothing, etc. need more more more... It isn't always about making and or supplying a good product and good service. Now things are smoke and mirror, look over here while I cheat you over there.. Call it out once in a while, ask a question or have a theory about an alternate view, i.e. question the online stability of a situation and they come out of the woodwork to protect their product.. You can get away with an article like this as long as you don't name names... What happens from the posting ? Forum Chat, and hits on there website... That is it really, nothing more... They make money on the unique visits and go back to the think pad...

I think he is trying to report him with this article. Honestly, unless you catch him red handed, and have it documented several times on films, he will never do it again and your name will be MUD for reporting (what may or may not have happened). We hear many times of the guy or girls that told, then they end up the victim because the accused never gets punished (lack of evidence). Imagine Golfer A turns him in, they then ask each other golfer if they know of this. All will say, no, because they dont want linked to it. Defamation law suit comes out and because you were the good guy, you go to court... Today's world... The article will stop the guy too, or should once he hears about it, remembers the confrontation...

I personally think it is Keegan... Does he dine by himself...? Or Pettersson ... Never mind, I got it... Baggy shirt was the other hint... Scroll thru photos to see... Should be the one... http://www.golfdigest.com/gallery/photos-long-putter-players#7

I dont know it is so fake, the guy says he played in one Masters... Been on tour a long time and recently had an argument with the accused and would not sign his card at the end of the round.. He is putting all the hints out there, just needs released.. it will come...

It leaves a bitter taste in everyone's mouth when this happens in sports. There is no reason that they could not refund money other than pure greed... We all understand business, how it works, especially if you own a business.. In this situation, anything more than the money they need to cover expenses should be paid back in GOOD FAITH... which is the thing missing these days... NBA owners should have to do it too. I have to buy tickets to see Cleveland vs Miami in advance, months in advanced because they are pricey and might sell out, my kid is dying to see LeBRON and the owner chooses to sit him, Cleveland can pay me back the difference of his value. Just bogus and is ruining the experiences for what, another yacht... Sorry, off my soap box... Enjoy the masters...

Can you talk a bit more about this ? I don't expect those temps, even with windchill to be in the 30s, maybe high 40s early. Never mind that, can you tell me if at the corner, does it sit much lower ? Are they downhill shots, thus, the player can look at the flag all he wants, the wind is UP at the ball height ? Try to pull up masters Trak on Google Earth and you get a masters CARTOON Picture more or less. Shows you how corrupt things are and if you have money, you can hide whatever you want... Thanks for the comments in advance... Love THE MASTERS... it is just an awesome place and hopefully I will get there next year or the year after...

Does anyone know if all invites to the Tournament get to practice early, IF THEY WISH ? In other words, could Thomas, and Speith be there this week playing it several times. Curious if there are rules involved...

If you could be a PGA tour caddie, who would you loop for?
Quadhole replied to Wally Fairway's topic in Tour Talk
Anyone that doesn't WD when the weather gets a little bad like this week. Or, anyone that doesn't pout and shoot high scores because the conditions are not perfect for their game... You can tell things are changing on the Tour and some rules will have to be put in place. Guys can't just BABY out every time things don't go their way... Bad Draw ? Bad Weather during your Draw... Tough it out, act like a MAN>.. Hate to say it, But Bubba comes to mind and now Matsuyama... -
Wonder who is losing money to compensate...
-
I think Thomas wins one major and two more tournaments this year... I think it was hard for him to watch Speith excel so fast and get left behind... He wants all those same accolades and attention Speith received... He looked happy in his interview after his 59... Finally (me time)... Speith is a great guy and will always wish him well, as did Thomas, but being the second guy is tough... If Thomas has a gigantic Season it will lift Speith and make him hungry again.

Anyone know why he had such a bad round and the DQ in the Bahama's... Did he not have issues years ago that he worked thru... ? I really hope he doesn't fall back into bad habits. So much money can lead one down a bad path. Good Luck Wil, go get a win this year before you end up on the WEB... Just looked at his twitter page... Seems to be fine... Loves Seinfeld...

First - Only one a year, Second - 25K is within reach of all the players on tour This isn't something I offer to all players each and every week. Just a once a year chance if you so chose based on how you feel after your second round... Just imagine shooting a 62 on Thursday, but terrible weather, or even food poisioning takes your second round high, real high and you miss the cut...
-
Nothing sticks out this week as an example. At times it is not fair that a pro gets an early or late time slot, even in the middle of the day you chance a bad score to bad weather. Example : You shoot a 78 day one because of bad weather, or even just an unlucky time slot, just a bad round, day two, you shoot a 65 and miss the cut by 1. As of now it is OH well, tough luck.. Offer a once a year buy for all PGA players (excluding majors). Once a year you can buy back in for 25K to be donated... It is a chance to add something exciting, new, etc... I would have to think the players would love the chance for a type of mulligan tournament. I could see where someone could shoot a 79 and then a 62 and still miss the cut.... Would you not want to continue ? Would you pay for it ? Thoughts ?

Either, I will take Derek Fathauer's career on what is now the MONEY tour... I doubt we see anything near Jack, or Tiger ever again... 100 guys made over 1M last year... Does seem to be quite a fall off down to the 250K range reaching only 200 guys... Still, lots of money to be made vs 40 years ago... Once you reach a plateau like Speith, the attention, time, and marketing take over so that many people can get rich and it is money first, legacy and golf is second...

Maybe they should fine them if they forget to shave, or not tying their shoestrings.... Anything else you want them to control ? Lack of marriage by 30 ? Lets call that not sociable enough and only impose a small fine... How about mandatory face lifts by 50, or a weight limit, excess fat as an "ISSUE"... After all, they play golf to set fine examples for the young kids, not to make money and have a career... Christ ole mighty.... Let them play, let them get mad, let them have fun and vent if needed.... Spit on a spectator, now that is a fine...Throw F bombs... no, not a fine, just venting.... Don't want your kid to hear it, dont take him or her... What is with everyone trying to tell everyone else how to live all of the time... Today's world has turned into the "not so fun, not so personable, not tolerable type of crap we all knew it would if money controlled everything and those who walk the perfect line day in and day out could finally express their opinions without a punch in the mouth...

No PGA Tour stop at Trump National Doral Miami
Quadhole replied to Jeremie Boop's topic in Tour Talk
Mexico City is a beautiful place, so is much of Mexico. Problem with most american and why you see responses bashing it all lies in the perception of american news and that everything about Mexico is drugs, desert, and coming across the boarder. Amazing how obtuse american can be... Really dumb down their education and knowledge, guess it is easier to just click on Fox news... Gees, Look at Chicago and our country if you want Murder, guns, and a high crime rate. Biggest prison population in the world... People are getting rich off of it... Bingo ! Even this past year, it isn't remembered as the Cadillac as much as it is at DORAL TRUMP ! I do hand it to trump for making so much money and using the loopholes put in front of him. He has made it clear how screwed up the system is and if he can make money using it, he will. His problem is that he is unnervingly argumentative about everything. Anyone with a strong opinion about many things can be the same way. I can be too...I try not to do as he does with the exaggerations. It is not intentional, and in an everyday conversation they have little meaning, 6 miliion or 4.5 million to him means no difference... When you are running for president, it means everything... Poor guy is going to have to change really quick if he plans to be the nominee... He is going to get sacked ! IF NOT CAREFUL... -
Putting together my fantasy team I noticed many scores @ 66,67, and even a 64 and 65 over the years... Looked for consistency and could not find it, On the ESPN site, which is the easiest to use I noticed the lack of 4 rounds in the 60s. Only Stricker in 2011, nothing for at least 10 years. Amazing that this course always jumps up and bites you in at least one round.. Especially when you consider during each round there are multiple 66 or better rounds... Think this is exactly what Jack wanted, a course that test you every day and one mistake will take you down...Greens looked to be rolling fast today...

Just watched Willett address the ball and it moved slightly as he pushed against the grass in the rough... 12.17 pm on his approach shot... 13th hole om Golf channel... Someone else must have seen it on TV...

Glad he spoke his mind. It would be just like those tie chokers to fine him for speaking up, saying what most of the guys talk about. As with everything today, it is about money, how many tours, sponsors can we please. I actually like more tours. Great for the young guys to get the playing time. WGC throws a wrench into everything and the PGA creating so many qualifying criteria.. Everyone has their hand in the kitty and wants more, more, more... Been watching stocks CLOSELY for years now. I am a short seller too... Just watch the news on Valeant... Really a corrupt biopharma company. They had brought in an accountant to cook the books (worked the medco disaster) and an audit chair lady from Author Anderson (during Enron). Long story short - There is actually an SEC paper showing the hiring of this guy, his super bonuses for performance, etc. All he had to do was make the company look like it was making more money. He did it by creating Phillador Inc. Incorporated on the day he was hired by Valeant. It is so corrupt, but half legal, and the SEC, FBI, etc. do nothing about it. There not even investigating it. Today's world is set up for the white collar criminal who is willing to walk the line of the law. Get caught, pay big time atty. to get you off. You can't make up a story like this... This week Cramer, CNBC, and Ackman have come out in support of the company, as if this accounting BS never happened and they will clean it up. Doesn't even include their pricing scandal, or channel stuffing.. All covered up by TV, money, and the players that want more money. 401Ks be damned... Sorry for the tangent... Same thing here with money. Everyone is battling to make every last dime the tour has to offer. It is now a fierce competition (unspoken) to control everything in your circle with money.

And there you have it, the answer to everything, MONEY. If I put a lot of money in your pocket, you will do what I say and NEV ER have a word to say about it. If you comment on your experience later, then others will bash you for expressing your feelings. WHY ! Because you made a lot of money. Where is the dividing line ? A caddie never get's treated this way on the Web or a pro that makes 100K a year. Put 50M in someones pocket and all of a sudden they deserve the right to act like an Azz, and not have it brought forward by the caddie ? There is lies the difference on this site (mostly) between the have and have nots. You can read a 100K income opinion on here and oh how normal it sounds to the regular guy. They you read the silver spoon comments and it throws you for a loop. There is a group on the senior tour that have that air of "above everyone else" I noticed it with couples last week... Wish I could say he walks with an air of confidence about him. It is more a "I am an elite human and you are not" walk. More and more these guys are destroying golfs relationship with the lower income people.... Gonna cost them all in the end.. No one should disrespect their caddie. When they do, it should be a problem the tour takes up with the player.
