I have used a Mizuno 8803 for decades...bought it new from the now gone Walker Keller golf shop in West LA...I love it but it looks like a branding iron...I have a Wynn Super grip on it... Here it is

Glad he is thru it...played with my dad for 35 years, and my wife’s dad for 20 years...carry one of their wedges in my bag every time I play (Hogan grind for pop, Wilson R91 for pop in law)...Im a muni player and dont care about the 14 club limit - I get a few shots in every round with these old duffers clubs to honor them, since they have both been gone a while now...

I always know hole by hole how many over I am...I try to do no worse than a par every three holes, with nothing worse than bogey...when I can chip and putt, this gets me just under 80...when I can’t it balloons to mid 80s...I usually shoot right around 80, but I am a white tees player... -

For a long time thru the 70s-90s I carried both a 1 and a 2 iron (76 Wilson Staffs)...but hybrids have changed everything about my game, being so easy to hit off almost any lie short of the deep stuff...I use the foot wedge in there, and then grab a hybrid

I find that reading and absorbing Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book is 1000x better than lessons, once basic grip, takeaway etc is learned

I sometimes fall asleep at night in front of a chipper infomercial on Golf Channel and wake up with Morning Drive on!

I am an avid muni player and have been for decades...I play all the city and county and daily fee courses in and around Los Angeles County, and I play 3x per week -sometimes more...have a place in Palm Springs on a course and go down there a lot...I see a ton of players and have done so since the 60s...Golfers are a bad as ever! -
