  1. I guess I don't see it as a matter of importance. Simply a right of ownership.
  2. Does it make you "important" if you are the owner?
  3. If it were any other course owner driving on their own course that way, it would not bother me. Bad business decision? Probably. But again, if it is someone's own property, they get to do that.
  4. You could always change that....
  5. I do think it means something to children when their parents attend their functions. Even more so at a younger age. I have a son that was in 3rd grade this year. His school is approximately 3 miles away from my work, and I am usually pretty flexible with my schedule. I did attend a few things for him this year, and in most instances was the only dad there. I could see it meant a lot to my son, and his teacher mentioned it as well.
  6. I think execution is huge for me. Although I do think they kind of can go hand-in-hand. If I execute properly, it takes a lot of the strategy out of it.... Driver 230 to the center of the fairway, 9 iron about 131 to center of green, 2 putts from 29'. Not a whole lot of "strategic" options for me there. Of course, I rarely execute that well.
  7. Same here. Work rigs, gas, insurance, wages, tools, etc. All that stuff adds up fast.
  8. Other option would be what you are doing. Hang out around "The SandTrap"....
  9. Good luck.
  10. 0. Been playing for about 10 years.
  11. Am I reading your chart correctly? You are consistently better (or close) to PGA pros with your approach shots?
  12. If the path is neutral and you square the face, the ball would go dead straight. If you closed the face more (still with a neutral path) the ball would start a little left and draw more to the left. If your path is actually silghtly in to out (say 3 degrees), you could concetvably get the face to 1-2 degrees and hit a push draw. This seems like pretty tight tolerances to me though. Would it be simpler to just align yourself more left and hit the push fade?
  13. A player should not be able to gain advantage by breaching the rules and not speaking up at all. Which is what they would do if the penalty for signing an incorrect scorecard is eliminated.
  14. Nope. They would have been treated the same for the same infraction. One of them (in your scenario) also committed another infraction (signed a wrong scorecard).
  15. Again a non comparison. Ill do my best though: If someone traveled in basketball and then scored, they would "take away" those points, if a team did an illegal procedure in football and scored they would "take away" those points, if someone was offside in hockey (and got the shot off before the whistle), they would "take away" that goal.
  16. @StevenR84, I have a question for you. Do you think it would be ok (for a rules official) to ignore a known rules violation? Please answer with a simple yes or no.
  17. In those sports, the competitors are actively trying to get away with (break the rules) as much as they can. In golf, the player bears the responsibility to call their own infractions. You can't make an equal comparison between those sports and golf.
  18. Looks good Nathan. Like riding a bike...
  19. Yes. That could also make the "toe hit the bag" as well??
  20. I don't think there is a specific thread, but it does seem to get mentioned a lot. A little bit really does go a long way though. When my shots start leaking right, and I use that feel a bit, it usually doesn't take long to overcook one and then I can typically drop the feel altogether.
  21. Yup. Especially when the caddie can simply quit if he does not like it.
  22. Have you had him try the "revving the motorcycle" feel? When I start the ball to far right or its not drawing back, this feel helps a lot. A little bit goes a long way.
  23. I look at the "greatest" question as this: Who had the "greatest" achievements? My answer to that question is Tiger.
  24. Are you sure you wouldn't pick Will Smith or Bruce Willis?
  25. Maybe the depression the ball was in originally was deep enough to see without moving the ball?
