  1. Not just you. This describes my feelings about this topic exactly.
  2. Corrected. I also posted that you may be correct with your suggestion. If any offense was taken by me posting that, I do apologize.
  3. When I purchased my 07 Yukon XL (I have a large family), purchase price was roughly 30% of my total income. I have driven it for 6 years now (actually wife's rig). It is almost paid off. The old jeep that I drive (1997 Cherokee) was basically given to me. In approximately 6 months I will have no car payments!!!!!
  4. I recall you calling yourself an SJW fella and simply being agreed with.
  5. I think I have it now. @dedalus101 is trying to say that the leaving the flag in does not help on 100% of putts that are hit short of the hole.....
  6. I believe you may have hit it on the head here...^^^ A bit of a perceived slight, when there is actually no offense intended (or taken) amongst the actual parties involved.
  7. Wow!! That is very impressive. Nice to see what some talent, hard work, and good instruction can do. How are distances now? If you don't mind me asking.
  8. I am also not on Facebook. Not really. Just use this site to talk golf and invite people to outings.
  9. I mostly play at Chequamegon Bay golf course.
  10. Yea, it definitely takes a different sort. I actually think it has much more similarities to trophy hunting for whitetail than fishing for other species.
  11. Muskie is definitely doable if your goal is to simply catch one of the species of any size. Muskie lakes typically fall across the spectrum of "action lakes" vs. "trophy lakes". These lakes can also be just down the road from each other. Action lakes typically have a good number of muskies in the 28''-32'' range, with a decent shot (better than 50%) at catching one if you fished for a day. On a typical trophy lake, I can average 30+ hours per fish boated. The fish is generally 40'' or better as well, with a legitimate shot at a 4' fish. My stats on trophy waters is approximately 100 hours on the water per 4' fish boated.
  12. As far as I know, it is not ever deemed as GUR.
  13. We have had this discussion multiple times before. At what point is it no longer "ground under repair"??
  14. http://golfweek.com/2017/02/01/tiger-woods-comeback-rory-mcilroy/ Kind of ironic, this post below, coming directly after this post ^^^......
  15. "I've got a shotgun, a rifle, and a 4-wheel drive....."
  16. Thanks @JonMA1. @cipher makes a very good point about not tasting good. The old ones are probably full of mercury as well. Also, if someone is looking for fish to eat, there are a lot easier targets out there.
  17. I do not eat them. It is somewhat taboo among serious muskie anglers. They are a low density fish, and it takes approximately 12-18 years (depending on the lake) for a fish to get as large as the one I am holding here. A very limited resource, so the vast majority of muskie anglers choose to catch-and-release.
  18. Certainly not justifying it, but how does the fact that it's students make it worse?
  19. I love fishing. I spent over 350 hours on the water last year. I will fish for any species, but muskie is my preferred. Once the muskie season opens (end of May where I live), I rarely fish for anything else. Here is a pic of my nicest fish from last year.
  20. I have a set of Wilson wedges. They are 50-55-60. Not to expensive and the 50 keeps the gap to my PW closer.
  21. If you can only reach one of the par 4's in regulation, I think you should move up to order tees. My only eagle came from holing a long greenside bunker shot on a par 5.
  22. We do have bears up here though. I suppose in general they are scared of humans.
  23. Haha..Yes. State line is only about 40 miles east. Strange though, the yooper accent doesn't start until you get over there.
  24. I don't really think so. If your club face was open enough, you could still hit a push slice with an in-to-out path.
