Attention all people that walk around the putting/chipping practice area bouncing a golf ball on the head of your wedge. Please stop immediately, you look ridiculous.

Someone had to say it.

I'm sure we do, but we have good hand eye co-ordination!

I look pretty ridiculous when I stretch too, maybe I should stop doing that aswell?

O.k. I will stop because you said I look ridiculous .
Wait, maybe I don't fall into that category because the only time I do it is on the tee box waiting for the green/fairway to clear. Is that o.k.?

Yes, but it displaces attention from the things about me that are even more ridiculous.

You play the hand you're dealt.

Umm, yeah, I'm not going to listen to you. As a matter of fact I'll do it more now, thanks man.

My record is only 30 times without dropping it. Which isn't that good.

I can bounce it quite a bit...but haven't counted. I can also stop it on the face of a wedge and start it back up again.

I only do it on the practice green when I'm bored, on the tee waiting for a slow group, etc. I will also bounce the ball up to my hand when practicing chipping.

That's how I like my golf. A kick in the face. -Ben

Keep on doing it . . . I can't do it very well (does bouncing it 2 or 3 times then running a little ways to try to make the last one hit the club count?). I think it's pretty cool to see.

I can bounce it for a LONG time off a LW, TW, AW, SW, PW and even my 9 iron.

I too can make it stop , and sit on the face...

Then start it up again, and bounce it high in the air and catch the ball in my pocket!

The girls love it!

And it upsets the guys who can't do it!

Who can't do this? When your hand-eye coordination is sharp enough to hit the full swing sand wedge (after a series of juggling tricks) and hit it perfectly, without denting your shaft or having the ball hit you in the face, then you can show it off at the course. Otherwise, I agree, keep it at home. Everyone can do it.

(note - the occasional tee box juggle is OK - because it sort of lets the group in front of you know that you're getting impatient with their slow play)

Obviously the OP can't do it, and doesn't realize it consumes time when waiting for something.

I can do it on any club up to my 4 iron, as well as driver.

Wow you can bounce a ball on a golf club. Gee what a stud you are to be able to do what any human with at least one arm and one eye can do after about 3 minutes of practice. Wow I am really impressed. Even more impressed that you chose to assume that I cannot. Seriously. You just keep bouncing your ball and the rest of us will just keep laughing at you and your sad little attempt to look cool. Rock on dude.

    • We do not buy extended warranties. We will use one of our credit cards for the purchase that extends the warranty "x 2". Our thoughts are: a. if the item is a lemon, it will likely break right away and we can attempt to apply the original warranty or credit card extension. b. over the long haul, we will probably save more money by not purchasing the extended warranty and fixing/junking broken items out of our own pocket. The important thing is to keep some records of purchases so one may make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty. I recently sent back some Footjoy shoes for leaking and Footjoy did a reat job of making the claim process work very well. I had the original receipt, warrant info and box. Easy peasy.

    • This is pretty much how I look at it.  I understand there are times when the piece of mind has value. I think over the long haul I'm money ahead by never buying the extended warrantee. Hell, What do I know? I went to Ch!cago PubIic SchooIs.
