Golfed of course. Everyday this past weekend; took advantage of specials.

Okay, Soup Fan, that isn't fair. I had to work that day....I would have loved smoking something nice on the smoker/grill.

Great looking ribs....looks like you cooked them to perfection. Is that a homemade sauce or one you bought from the store?

Lately I've been cheating and using the sauces sold in the grocery store...specifically "Famous Daves BBQ". His series of sauces are wonderful...he has a great chain of resturants, too.

There is nothing quite as fun to prepare, cook and eat, imho, than ribs.

I've got the day off work today. While making coffee a minute ago, I began soaking some black eyed peas and doused some pork chops in marinade. The peas will soak & chops marinate most of the day while I go to the practice range and work on my hunting gear...getting ready for the season to open.

There will be some good eating later on.

Absolutely nothing.
More divorce upside.

I had an offer to play at 10 a.m. but it's been 95 degrees here for five days.
Just enjoyed the A/C, my dog and the pot-smoking movies I DVR'd on Saturday.
Oh, today's a day off. I was thinking about practicing.
I took my two mile walk at 10. It was already stifling.
I guess I'm working on my short game in the A/C.

That BBQ University program always makes my mouth water - like Homer chasing after a Duff Beer!!

The other day he did a Jack Daniels splashed pork loin rub - man, it was like culinary Viagra (if you're still eating after 4 consecutive hours, go see a doctor).

Thumbs up to you! My uncle was the same way, for the same reason. He never played weekends or holidays. But he did play almost every day of the workweek though!

I played golf on Saturday but on Monday we had to go buy clothes (UGGGH) for the wedding we're going to next week. But it's OK because all the guys are having a pre-wedding golf scramble on Friday morning! (Pacific Grove Municipal). So yeah, clothes shopping for me. Besides, it got awful warm and humid in the afternoon anyway.

Looks like you have a real nice meal on Labor Day. Me, I didnt really do anything. I layed around the house and was lazy most of the day.
I played golf on Friday and Sunday, not to mention the temps were in the 90s on Labor Day, so I just stayed inside in the a/c and took a rare chance to just do nothing all day long.

Golfing.

Took forever (about 2.5 hours). Then coating it with polyurethane took another 2-3 hours.

Patriot Golf Day at a course at Lake Elsinore. One of very few rounds of golf I've gotten to play during my summer. It made me really look forward to when I get back to playing regularly in Fall!
