Nah, I'm not so sure about that. I think they successfully managed to breed a duck and alligator once. It may have been enhanced a bit.

Honestly, I've been to FLA and seen scarier things than this fellow.

Actually, he's like something out of a Carl Hiassen novel. "Skink" could have one as a pet!

Hope we have some Hiassen fans here who get that reference.

I don't read Hiassen, but I can tell you that thing is real. I saw a couple of those at a bar I partied at once in Miami. It's their version of the "cougar".

I saw a gator eat another gator today. It actually starteled us on the puting green and we turned around to see the thrashing in the water then the bigger gator holding a bleeding smaller gator in its mouth. Pretty intense.
