I am looking to replace my golf shoes. They are only a year old, but they are just too stiff and not comfy. I walk every round, so is there any cheap comfy shoes you guys can recommend.

I found these and they look nice. Any1 have them?

Nike makes several shoes with their Air (or max air, or whatever) system with the rubber air bubble thing in the sole. They are very comfy and very inexpensive.

That's a good lookin' shoe, I don't care for Nike anything, but if I did I would consider those for sure, I'm a footjoy guy, and dryjoys do the job for me, the dryjoys are around $140 or so and 100% waterproof

I've got a pair of Nike shoes that look more or less like those, minus the waterproofing. I find them very comfortable, and I hated the fit/feel of most golf shoes I've tried on.

I've had good success with Footjoys over the years. I've recently retired my previous Dryjoys and picked up a pair of the Contours on clearance of last years model. They should work and feel just fine.

Adidas IMO are the best. I currently have dry joys, adidas 3.0 high end ones can't remember the name, and adidas gym looking ones. The 3.0s crush the dry joys in terms of comfort. I'd get last years model on ebay if I was looking for shoes.

I walk anywhere from 7 to 10 18-hole rounds a week, so my shoes are important. I like Adidas because I have skinny feet and their shoes seem to run a little more narrow. In my current shoe rotation I'm wearing a pair of Tech Response 2.0, FitRX, and Golflite Tour.

I usually go to a local mega golf store like Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith and try on shoes there and then go home and find them for one-quarter to a third the price they're asking. Budgetgolf.com has some screamin' deals on golf shoes.

I replace the paper thin insoles that comes with the shoe with a quality Superfeet Insole. Also, weight is important. People that do a lot of hiking/backpacking have a saying that "a pound on the feet is like ten on the back". Meaning you have to pick those things up a thousand times over the course of a day so a lighter shoe will decrease energy expenditure.

Whoever came up with the saying, "A bad day of golf is better than a good day at work", is a moron.

I just picked up a pair of Nike Rejuvenate golf shoes and could not be happier! LINK
At $89 they might not be considered a cheap golf shoe to some, but you can find them for $79 at GolfSmith and some other shops (didn't have my size though). I've used them twice so far and still cannot believe how comfy they are. I actually kept them on after the round during the car ride home. This was kinda weird to me since the first thing I typically do after a round is whip off my golf shoes and put on my regular kicks.

Some Adidas and Nike models are especially good if you have narrow feet like I do. The M width in these lines fit me well; most other shoes the Ms are way too wide. Foot Joy would be a $200 custom order per pair if I wanted proper width.

I love my Ecco's.

Mine are red instead of blue though.

What kind of foot do you have. If it's even remotely wide, you've probably ruled out Adidas and Nike.

I picked up a pair of Callaways last year that were probably their worst shoe - really quite awful. The Foot Joy contours I have are great, but the leather can scuff easy, so I got a pair of Green Joys (yeah, apparently they still make those too) for the range and when the conditions are sloppy. The Green Joys were dirt cheap (by comparison) and pretty comfortable too.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

I had a pair of Adidas that were just too stiff. I bought a pair of Nike Air vapors and since most of you guys said they run on the skinny side, I went with wide. Thanks

    • I don’t measure my intake either. I generally have a black coffee, a bottle of soda, some sweet tea at home, and anything in between is water. An ice cold bottle of water is one of my favorite things. It feels like an immediate refresher for my body. I’ll admit that I need to drink a little more though.
    • For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.
