I played 9 yesterday and realized I used every club in my bag - Driver, 4W, 3-9I, PW, GW, SW, putter. And that was just 9 holes. Don't carry a 14th club, but if I did, I'd add an extra wood/hybrid and I'm sure I would have used it.

I wonder how many times that happens or if we just don't notice it?

I doubt if I have ever used all of my clubs in any one round.

That is certainly a rarity IMO. I'm pretty sure I haven't swung my 3 iron in about a month; not sure why I still carry it to be honest. If I'm that far out I play the 5W for consistency. I've also strayed away from using my 52* wedge for anything but a full shot because there's essentially nothing I can do with it that I can't do with my 58* from 100 yd. in.

I think club usage depends on two things.. the course and your driver. And they're tied together. If the course is taking driver out of your hands on a bunch of tee shots then you're likely to exercise more of your bag. If the course lets you swing away (and you can hit it well) then you can probably leave half of your clubs in the car.

I would have to agree here. Last night's round did not include the use of my SW, 9W, or 9i.

Not, that I keep up with it on a regular basis, but I can't really think of a time I've ever used the whole bag. The last round I played was on a short, straight course and I didn't use my 5W, 4i, 5i, 6i, or 56°.

I've probably only hit my 9 iron about 5 times since I got my clubs. There just doesn't seem to be enough difference in the lofts of my 8-pw so I'll either swing a hard PW or an easy 8. But what do I know I'm the guy who started a thread about my crappy GIR. lol

All depends on how my driver is working but I use all my clubs. The clubs i rarely use would be 3w,2h,4i,5i and 52* wedge with the latter of the list being more common.

I really like using my 7-8-9-pw into greens so i usually set up accordingly.

Here's how it happened:

Driver (Hit Tree), 5i, 7I, GW
5I
6I, 9I
Driver, 6I
4I
4W, 7I (Chipout), 8I
3I, SW
Driver, 4W, PW (Chip)
3I, 6I

I teed off with 3I twice and 6I and the par 3s were 180/190. I know hybrids are popular, but I like hitting the long irons. What can I say, I like to make life harder on myself.

I don't even use every club at the range. How's it possible (with the exception of nevets88) to do this... I probably average 7 clubs per round and that's it.

The clubs I use least are my 4 Hybrid and 3 wood, mainly because it's a piece of shit.

I would like to never use my putter though.....I really need to start holing out more.

Obviously I used a putter, so I didn't bother listing it.

I wasn't having a go at you, I really wish I didn't have to use mine though, it's my score killer.

I played a round today and I think I used every club in the bag at least once except the 5 wood, 8 iron, and 54* wedge.

I've played rounds like that, but not as much this season. I played older woods for a long time and played more irons off the tee. Playing par 5s with two 2-irons or going with two 4-irons on a 400 yard par 4 was not uncommon. I know I'm weird.

It depends on your bag set-up, and whether you mix and match clubs for the course being played. I carry a 20-degree hybrid and a 5W, and sometimes they compete for use depending on conditions / lie /...

For me, it's rare to use all clubs during one round. I will hit them all during a range session to see how they're coming along, and may change the bag configuration based on the results.
