Got my replacement Callaway RazrFit in on Friday and finally had a chance to see some action with it today. Once I found some rhythm and stopped swinging like I was wired on cocaine, I was pounding this thing! I got it in 8.5 with the 60g X Aldila RIP shaft. Face set to square and the weights set to neutral. The ball flight was perfect and my baby fade was right there, ultra sharp! I've had Callaway drivers since the FT5 but merely as a product of being on staff with them. I was never 100% on the feel of the Titanium/Carbon Fiber composite heads. This thing finally has the feel of a full titanium head. Crisp and solid. Something I've been longing for forever from Callaway. The tee shot of the day came on 18. 447y par-4, a little downhill from the tee box. Fairway bunkers on the left and right guarding the landing area. I set myself up at the left fairway bunker and absolutely creamed a fade off it. Left myself with 130y to a back pin. I don't hit the ball that far, or at least I didn't used to...!

Special Note, I say this was my replacement. The first one I got developed a rattle after the first shot I hit with it. I thought is was something in the head, so I sent it back. This one developed the same rattle. I realized, after being scared and upset for a second, that it was merely because the weights aren't fully tightened straight out of the box. That's something the end user has to do. I didn't have my tool with me, so I used a tee to keep it in there tight-ish. So, tighten the weights when you get it!

Awesome awesome driver!!!

Sorry. I don't care about swearing but having it in the title might be a bit much.

I've heard good things about Callaway's new driver(s).

I just recently found the Diablo Tour Edge Driver and I am surprised how hot the face is. What other Callaway drivers have you tried, other than the FT-5?

I've played them all since the FT-5. The FT-9, FT Tour, Razr Hawk and now the RazrFit. In order of favorites I'd rank them; RazrFit, Razr Hawk, FT-9, FT Tour then FT-5.

I have a Diable Edge Tour 15* 3wood in my bag now. Like you said, super hot face. I caved in the face of my first one. I think it may have been manufactured a tad too thin, the ball flew of that thing. My friends used to hate me because I could hit it within range of their drivers. My current one doesn't have quite the pop off the face, but, I am still very pleased with how it performs.

I'm looking at new drivers this year to replace my X460 and have been looking at the RazrFit along with the 910D2 and VR str8-fit. Good to hear good things about the RazrFit (not keen on the name but that doesn't matter).

I hit the Razr Hawk pretty well, except it is a bit high. I probably got the wrong shaft in there. While on the Trackman the guy was obsessed with getting my launch angle to a certain number but we lost track of the landing angle. I hit the Diablo Edge a hair lower and get more roll once it hits the ground. I will take a look at the Razr fit once the price goes down a little.

I really like mine so far. Got it last week and have played 2 rounds with it. Just a bit longer than my G20 and so far I've hit it straighter. Having only hit a few balls at the range and then about 20 tee shots in 2 rounds I'm still getting used to it, but even the heel and toe mis-hits got good distance. Very solid on contact and the ball jumps off the face. So far, it's a keeper.

Round 2 in the books with the RazrFit. Ho-ly-cow! It is amazing feeling. I cranked on one today on our par-5 7th hole. Perfect trajectory, dead straight, laser beam! Could not have felt any better off the face. RAZR FITTTTTTTT!!!!!

I've noticed that as well. I hit a heel fade on 18 today that went just as far as a solid tee shot from my FT Tour.

Dang... I need to hit this club.  I have a little schindig lined up on Sunday where I'm going to get some hands on instruction with my swing.  So I want to see how that goes before I make any purchases based on swing changes.  But it does look like a great driver.

Count me as a big fan now too.    I just got fit last week and now have two rounds under my belt.    I ended up with 8.5 degrees, Aldila RIP 60 in S-flex, weighted to help me better close the clubface.

I went into the fitting with an open mind but expecting that the RAZRFit, i20, 910, or R11S would be what I would walk out with, with a bias towards the 910.    We also tried RBZ, g20, RAZR, Adams Fast12, Cobra AMP and another I didn't recognize, 910 D2 and D3.     We eventually narrowed down to the 910 D2 and the RAZRFit, which both had about equal performance on the monitor.   Another half hour of hitting different shots between those two, trying some on the toe, some heel, trying to hit high and low, it was pretty clear - the RAZR Fit was the most consistent and yet workable, and it simple had the best feel and sound to me.    I picked up about 15 yards on Trackman compared to my TM Tour Burner with Proforce V2 (which had been fit about 4 years ago).

Performance in my two rounds has been exceptional.  I am clearly longer now, and was also hitting fairways more consistently, missing a total of 6 in two rounds (and only a couple of those were a serious problem).     On a couple of long par 4s I found myself with a 8 or 9i for my approach when I usually would have to hit a 5 or 6.      I'm lovin' it!

Clam, can you send me a PM on where you got fit?  I remember you saying somewhere in Carlsbad, right?

Man this thing continues to impress! Played an event today at a course I pay often. I was hitting it to spots that I normally don't. Only missed two fairways too!

I know what you mean. Yesterday I played with a guy I know from work and this was the first time we've played this year. He plays a R11 and was normally 20 yards longer than me. Yesterday I was even with him all day and even out drove him on a couple of holes. My initial setup was closed (to match my G20) but after a few rounds I felt like I was still having too many mis-hits. Changed the ball position just slightly and changed the face to square and I really like the ball flight now.

I love this thread. I picked myself up the razor fit driver with the stock standard stiff Fujikura in a 10.5*. They threw in the 3 wood for free as a manufacturers special. It felt nice for a while when I was swinging relatively slow. Came to a hole that I can normally reach in one, if I give it some more power. And this horrific slice turned up. I closed the face, turned the club in my hands slightly, aimed 2 fairways left, but couldn't hit a fairway. I took the 3 wood shaft and chucked in the driver for shits and giggles at the range. Started bombing it straight away. Ball flight was never straight, but a controllable baby fade or draw. The driver has this incredible sound to it, like a shotgun has just propelled your ball 300+ yards, it actually makes you feel like a bit of a boss... Since then I have hit a significant amount of drives over 270 metres (home course in marked out in metres). Moving the ball left to right, right to left on a whim, which the occasional mega slice when I get a bit lazy ( I've put the club face back to square). It allows me to actually swing at the ball and literally hit it as hard as I like. I am currently in the market for a x stiff shaft for it, I have a swing speed of 108-112 mph. I've had pro force v2's before and liked them, so not too sure where to go... Any suggestions??? Slightly disappointing that I now cannot hit my new 3 wood, but I really liked my z-star wood anyways. RazrFit gets 10/10 from me!

That's funny ... I had the exact same thing happen to me.  After having played a couple of rounds with it ... I was playing in a member/guest with my father-in-law and before I even used it once that day I noticed the rattle, and freaked out.  It also turned out to be that the weights just weren't in tight, and luckily I did have my wrench with me.  Still scared me though.
