Hi guys,

So I have been collecting Scotty's for over six years and just recently added a Notchback First of 500, making my collection total rise to 30. Each one is different and has its flaws and things i like as well. What im wondering is some advice on how to narrow it down and eventually pick one that will claim the permenant spot of "GAMER" in my bag. I have Scottys from the TeL 3 series to the new GoLo, to multiple Pro Platniums, Futuras, and the American Classic; to name a few. Any advice at all would be huge.

I doubt whether anyone can tell you what putter to use.

Given that you have  a collection of 30, why not rotate them or just use the ones you like best.

Why would anyone else know what suits you?

What someone else likes doesn't relate in any way to what you might prefer.

Surely you're the best judge.

I would no more ask people I've never met which of my clubs I should use than I'd ask them what classic car out of my collection I should use as a daily drive.

Let me get this straight, you have 30 putters in your collection? WTF?

This isn't like collecting stamps, this is golf equipment.

Irons:  Callaway Apex 4-PW Project X 5.5 shafts

Pretty sure they are just putters some are collectible, some are just over priced but still just a putter. Obviously you would get better answers at cameron collector since it's a bunch of people who have the same belief that camerons are more than just a putter. Picking your gamer is easy putt with all of them and use the one you like best.

Driver: i15, 3 wood: G10, Hybrid: Nickent 4dx, Irons: Ping s57, Wedges: Mizuno MPT 52, 56, 60, Putter: XG #9

yep which is why im gettin way better responses (maturity and people that can relate) over at the cameron collector.... theres a reason theyre scotty camerons not just putters.

And what is the reason? Oh yes - price. They are just putters, whether you want to admit it or not. Some have high prices. As for "maturity", what is mature about a bunch of people who sycophantically worship a marketing genius who copies others' designs and decorates them - who sells a product that is exactly the same as others - and drool over ones with custom "stampings" and shaft bands? Sounds like great fun. The "snow" ones, where it looks like a 5 year old has been let loose with a nail punch look great, don't they!!!!!!! Do what you want with your money, but if you have 30 putters and what advice on how to choose one to use you've got a bigger problem than your addiction to SC putters. I'm sure that over atthe Cameron Collector They're queuing up to say "Dude!! Wish I had you problem! Game the Tel3. Those putters are sweeeet!" "FOR TOUR USE ONLY" - What a joke.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I can't question the collecting thing...to each his own. But I do have to agree that they are just putters and the only thing truly amazing about them is the marketing behind them and how much the marketing can make people spend on a putter. If SC was that great and so amazingly different, there wouldn't be a pro playing anything but an SC. This to me is like baseball cards...they are all pieces of paper with pictures on them, nothing more.

As for your decision; go with what you feel would be best. And honestly, you should be over at the SC forum, because they'll know more thank us and be as interested as you are about them. To me this is nothing more than a disguised brag post.

I'd spend more time responding, but my two Ferrari's are very dirty and they must be cleaned and I haven't even gotten gas for the Lambo yet...

They are like nice cars- Some folks like a sweet ride that is kept clean and will pay for it. Some can afford it some can't. I for one have about 5 Camerons and have fun collecting and gaming them. Are they better? I do feel they are a top putter right up there with Ping Red Woods, Black series, etc etc...

Better then Heroin!

Buy a new SC Putter from Golf Galaxy for $250 - the long-handled Kombi putter.

The old ones play like crap.

You're quite the shopper.  Scotty Cameron putters start at $350 where I live.  Where are you buying these things?  Hopefully not from the Titleist counterfeiter on Ebay.

I collect supermodels, you know the ones with long legs and burgandy lips. I have about 30 of them right now, but not sure which one to use? I can only handle one at a time. Can you help me guys?

I'm guessing his "first of 500" isn't a used club.

And, since he's bragging about being a "collector", I'd be willing to bet none of them got picked up at Play It Again Sports.  I'm pretty sure that whenever Scotty Cameron needs a new compressor for his air-conditioner or some new deck furniture, it's guys like this who line up to pay for it.

By the way, 30 at $350.00 a pop is $10,500.
