Can anyone top this.  110 yrd par 3.  On in one,  40 ft from pin,  downhill putt.  my putt went past the hole and trickled off the green into a bunker.  Fluffed my first shot out. Next attempt clunked it and into water on opposite side. Water drop.  Chipped on and 3 putted. I near cried :(

lol,  yea,  I might go for it.

The only saving grace was I was on a $hit card at that point. 17th hole. Would have killed me to have a Hex Bogey ( If that's the word ) when I was the right side of 3 or 4 over

Sure, this guy named Kevin Na carded a 16 on a par 4.  To make matters worse, he was on TV.

i had a 14 once, but i was a 20 handicap at the time.   i feel for you though, at least it was hole 17 and not the first hole like mine.  i had all round to think about it.. :(

We've all had holes like that..and many times too....However the thing is you actually carded the 9...I know too many people who wouldn't have because they "forget" strokes  haha

My buddy's dad put 4 balls in a pond on a par 3 yesterday. They weren't on the long side of the pond though, they were on the short side right passed the ladies tees! We all got a good, tin cup inspired, laugh.

Don't ya love this game?

I totally hear you. Last weekend at a tournament I had a triple bogey 8 (par 5), followed by a birdie 2 (par 3), followed by a triple bogey 7 (par 4). That's exactly how my season is going, up and down like a YO-YO.

Some shots and entire holes I look like a scratch golfer, and other shots and entire holes, I look like a 30+ handicap. LOL

I came close to that recently on a similarly short par 3.  My first shot landed left of the green.  I flubbed my first chip - went nowhere.  Bladed the 3rd shot over the green and into some bushy scrabble - and lost the ball.  Now I'm hitting 5 back onto the green  - which I do and then 2 putt.  I carded a 7 but I'm sure my actual score was "disqualified" because I was so annoyed that I didn't really pay attention to where I was dropping the ball - I just sort of tossed it onto the grass near the scrub.

I feel your pain brother.

Just recently I went to extra holes in my clubs Match Play event. The first payoff hole was a strait, easy par 5. I was on in three and my opponent was on in five. He one putted and I four putted to lose by one.

I would have been DQ'd I dont carry that many balls haha

As for me reaching par 5s under reg and then walking off with par or bogeys are pretty brutal

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
