I'm curious about something:

When you ride in a cart, you usually have 2 sand bottles attached to it for filling in divots, repairing the fairway, etc..   I am someone that usually has to use both bottles as I can dig some nice big holes w/ my irons.    My question is, what should I be doing when I'm walking?   I use a push cart, and have thought before of taking a sand bottle and somehow attaching it to my cart so I have it with me.   But I've *never* seen anyone do the same.   What about you folks?  I feel guilty sometimes not being able to fill my divots, and while I try to replace the divot, sometimes the hole doesn't create a replaceable divot and thus I'm stuck just leaving it.

Does anyone here carry sand with them when walking?

I see guys all the time having the sand bottles attached to their push cart plus if you can do it why not help the course. One thing to add is I'm a member at a country club and it seems members at a country club take much more pride in the course.

I walk and carry.  I replace divots when they come out in one or two big pieces, otherwise I don't think there's really anything you can do.

This. Sometime there just isn't anything left except bits and pieces. And hopefully there is a good maintenance staff who do fill divot holes daily. They do at my course.
