Don't get me wrong, the 910 headcovers are nice, and I liked mine when I had the 910 D2, but I'm not sure you can say the nicest and classiest by far... I have the RBZ right now and think that headcover is just as nice and I liked the headcover for my R9 as well. Really I kind of like any head cover that is the traditional "sock" type or whatever you wan't to call it, not really a fan of magnetic/zipper closures.

I hate advertising on my covers or anything for that matter. Currently I have a bear and a skunk covering the driver and the 3 wood respectfully.

I have had the nickname Bear (or versions of) since I was 12 or so and I always have at least one bear on the clubs. The skunk was from the kids. I think it is a statement of some sort :)

I can only spend on green fees and good equipment, most often 2nd hand stuff without head covers.  So when i need a head cover i go off to the thrift shop and search out some tall colorful stockings, and often soccer socks are the best.  Yeah, i know it's weird, cheap and only partly effective. I just don't need 'full protection' for my head so the socks do me fine. The advantages are simply that my pull trolley is immediately identifiable because of the bright blue cover on the driver and the bright yellow covers on the 2 hybrids, the ease of removal for faster play and lack of possessiveness towards these marginal items.

Not original but I do like the Cobra head covers. I usually take all my head covers off and leave them in the car when I play. I'm afraid I'll forget it in the golf cart or leave it on the course someplace. I have looked in Golfsmith, Dicks and on-line and have not found one I would use.

I've checked all of these above mentioned covers out and they are all pretty nice if you ask me. I am looking to add some color and character to my bag this winter and was just wondering what everyone else prefers. I have the Cleveland Classic head cover which is pretty classy as far as having a retro leather look to it but also a Mickey Mouse head cover that is bright and colorful. My son loves Mickey Mouse so figured it wouldn't hurt to throw that on the clubs for a few rounds.

Daphne's makes some nice animal-themed headcovers.  Ive got a dragon on my driver.  In Japanese mythology, dragons were believed to scare away bad spirits and I could sure you the bad spirits scared out of my golf game.

Beyond that, theres some really cool headcovers from Japan.  A lot of them are anime/manga characters, as well as some Snoopy and Hello Kitty.  Its all really expensive though.  Theyre cool and all but I have a hard time pay $75-$100 for a headcover.

IMO....the best covers are personalized.  The first thing I do when I buy a new club is remove the cover that came with it..LOL

I will have to check them out. I don't know about forking out that much for a cover but I suppose it all just depends.

My favorite kind of headcovers are the "Stealth" brand that you can buy at Golf Galaxy and other places. Made of a highly durable, stretchable, rubber type fabric. Easy to place on your club and easy to remove. Knit headcovers tend to stretch out and develop holes over time - the "Stealth" ones do not.

    • For such a nice membership, there have been some bad incidents in the past few years.  We had someone voted out a couple of years ago over something he did and he harassed the board members for three months until he moved out of the area.   Generally they’ve tried to do things like tournament handicaps and identify certain people who they know should be lower and adjust it somehow.  I can understand not wanting to go thru something like the guy who was voted out again i emailed the pro who forwarded it to the handicap committee.  They are going to see what can be done.  I walked someone thru what happened and they are going to nudge him to post the score from the match and see what he does.  Since he didn’t put anything in the electronic scoring past 13, based on how he played 14 and 15 plus having to take bogey on 16-18 for after he left, he should post 83.  We’ll see if it’s even higher,   Since he was really even thru 13, then doubled 14 and parred 15 my guess is he really shot 75 being generous and giving him 2 pars and a bogey on the three holes he didn’t play.    i shot 88, getting 16 shots for my course handicap which is net even and I lost on 13.  We do brackets where handicaps should be within 4-5 of each other.  Most matches only have 1-2 shots as a difference between players  neither of us posted the score yet.  There was something in the match play rules about whether or not to post your score.  I couldn’t remember if we were supposed to or not.  I don’t think he was going to post that, because even with his inflated score it would be the lowest score in his recent 20. Lucky I didn’t because they want to see what he does post and they don’t want me posting so he can try to calibrate his score.
