Just completed the Colorado 18 by skiing (approximately) 9 runs at A Basin followed by playing 9 holes at the Keystone River Golf course (5 miles down the road and 2+ K below A Basin). I love how much there is to do here and think Colorado is very underrated as golf destination. Talked to one guy at lunch who has a group of friends that have skied 9 runs, played 9 holes and then watched 9 innings of Colorado Rockies baseball. A ski patroller told me that he celebrated a friends birthday by skiing, hiking, climbing, white water rafting, mountain biking, and visiting a hot springs in the same day. I know that you can ski & surf in the same day in So Cal and some other places- what interesting recreational combinations have TSTers done or have available locally?

I have waterfowl hunted in the morning and fished in the afternoon. Does that count for much?? Probably not I guess. You could pretty much do that anywhere.

Usually during feb-April I snowboard on Saturdays and play golf on sundays.

I've done it a few times (skied and golfed in the same day), both in NY and UT... Tough day if one decides to walk vs ride! I heard there's a place in Hawaii where you can ski, golf, and surf in the same day, certain times of year

Never skied & golfed, but I've had many days where I'll golf early in the morning and then go to the beach with my family afterward. Those days are always nice.

I've never skied and played golf. But I skied and surfed in the same day before. Could do all three I suppose, ski, play golf and surf in the same day here in Southern California.

It sounds cool. But I can't wait to leave Colorado. I was raised in the south so just not a winter guy at all. It's been cold here since October. And getting snow on Mother's Day (my birthday) is ridiculous. I'm moving to Florida this summer. There have been some neat days where it's in the 70's while driving to go snowboarding...but that's not the norm. Power to you guys who love the cold. I hate it.

This year has been a bit out of the norm. It's been raining like crazy here. I hate it. That's why I don't like north west. I can't stand grey skies. I like bright blue sky when I wake up.

Yeah, but a lot of people hear NW and think Seattle ( which is always gray). I was in the tri cities area about 120mi east of Seattle. I can say that it was sunny most of the year...little rain...and easy access to snowboarding. No ridiculous tunnel traffic that you wait in for hours. For me, my time in Washington was much better than here as spring not coming until June is awful.

Lol! Yeah, well where I come from it doesn't snow in Spring. If you can't plant anything before April without fear of a winter blast...then to me that's the North Pole and it's not for me. I can always visit snow/cold...but living in it 6-7mos of the year blows.

Sounds like a great day, a uniquely Coloradoan combo of sports. I want to try it too. I would probably want to add 9 bong loads to the festivities.

I never golfed and skied in the same day when I lived in Colorado.  I don't think I would want to either, my legs were usually jello by the time I was done skiing and I'm positive it would make me golf like garbage.

Welcome back!

I did Surf (only one halfway decent wave) and Ski in one day before. Unfortunately, no snow to mix with skiing in So. Cal.

We did a California 18 on March 20th.   We always ski for a friend's B-Day.  We had four guys skiing at Northstar-at-Tahoe in the morning (due to their excellent snow-making), and then added nine holes at my home course in the afternoon (six guys played golf).  I have also skied and windsurfed in the same day.  Sorry for the haters, but I really love this state!
