Here's to all TST members having a safe Labor Day weekend.

If you are on the road traveling, watch out for that other guy.

If you are weekend golfing, hit 'em long, and straight, while still watching out for that other guy..

Thanks @Patch. To you as well. Hopefully our tropical storm will just bring some rain and leave us alone.

Lol. Yeah...I filter out the silly talking heads in their typhoon outfits and row boats in 8” of water...I keep track with the actual weather trackers. But thanks!

I remember when I worked in Miami and was awakened early in the morning by a rude phone call from my boss at the department store.  I had to come down to the store and help put plywood over the windows.  That wasn't my job!  Later that day I was tempted to walk out of my apartment in 100mph winds and hit a golf shot into the wind and see how far behind me it landed.  Decided not to do it with all the sheet metal, etc. flying down the street.

I remember Anderson Cooper once standing in high water in his typhoon outfit discoursing on the coming hurricane.  It was so hokey.  Though I like the guy,  but I'm pissed I wasn't in his mother's will...

Apparently I remember too much...

    • I agree with this 100%. I forget what tour player said it but they mentioned how in pro ams they hear amateurs say how they always make a majority of their mid range putts. His reply was no they don’t because if you did you’d be better than everyone on tour. Even pros think they’re better than they are. Back when stats weren’t as well known as today they asked a bunch of pros what the make percentage was on tour for 6 footers. The consensus was around 70%. Crenshaw was the closest with a guess of 50%. Actual percentage was 54%. I always thought it was interesting that one of the best putters was the closest.
    • Day 145 - 2025-02-22 7-7 today at Golf Evolution. Managed to sneak in some work while waiting for dinner when I got home, though.
    • Day 15: 2/22/25 Putting through50 mm gates weight shift drills. Playing tomorrow, and will see how I do.
    • This is a good point and I’m going to go down this road. I’ll get some data on both techniques, compare the two, and then make a more informed decision. I’m bad about going off of what I “feel” is the best but should definitely approach it with more hard data.  All that being said, this made me laugh and is likely the cause of me wondering if the broomstick would be a better technique. I mean, who doesn’t want to get a new putter?
    • Day 32 (22 Feb 25) - Got in some wedge work with the 58° in the backyard before heading to a noon band rehearsal.  It’s the weakest part of my wedge game, so figured it would be good to work on distance control for a few minutes - varied the distances and lies from 5yds out to about 25yds.  Nice little drill session to kick off the day.
