Let's have a little fun. For anything that happened in 2019, let's give out any awards. They can be serious, mocking/sarcastic, silly… whatever.

I'll start with a few…

Tour Caddie's Favorite Player - Bryson DeChambeau!

Most Surprising Major Winner - Tiger Woods, 2019 Masters

Tool of the Year - Bryson again!

Most Disappointing Player - Tiger Woods… until the Zozo. Seriously, he wins the first major and then vanishes until November?

Irishman of the Year - Shane Lowry can beat up Rory McIlroy, so, sorry Rors.

I'll gladly accept the award ("I'd like to thank...") for "Most Patient at Sitting out 9 Months with 2 Torn Tendons in His Right Elbow".  BTW, that is the main reason you've all had to suffer me on this forum for the last 9 months.

Sure, but I'll bet Rory can drink Lowry under the table at an Irish Pub.  And can attract better looking partners.

Player One Least Wants to Keep Score for the Group: Patrick Reed:  camera angle?

Comeback Player of the Year: El Tigre. If you are a Tiger fan boy like me, the Masters was validation for my undying faith.  Zozo was just more validation for we fan boys and girls.

Least Exciting Superstar: Brooks Koepka - the guy looks like a stud and creates energy like a dud.  I sometimes wonder what the three members of the "Koepka Fan Boy Club" see in their hero.

2019 Glacial Pace Award - wannabe Physicist Bryson DeChambeau. Alas, BD forgot time is also a variable in science.

Best Tour Nickname given by my wife - Cupcake for Brooks Koepka. She thinks he’s cute and everybody like cupcakes.

Wish I Hadn’t Asked for That Award - Abraham Ancer for wanting to have Tiger in the singles round at the President’s Cup.  He’s now part of one of the all time great walk-off winning putt videos ever. It will be shown in a loop at the Golf Hall of Fame for the next 100 years.

2nd Best Moment - bestest moment obvs being Tigs winning the Masters, but honestly, Amy Bockerstette and her moment at the Waste Management was just AWESOME. I've watched it half a dozen times and have teared up for most of them.

      Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.

      I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.

      I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
