What would you do? Wait or jump the tee?

Been there, done that.   If people are slow and grab food at the turn, I'll ask to play through.  If they say no (had it happen) I jump one hole ahead without a second thought.

Jump the tee. I do this all the time. When I arrive at the 10th tee, if the group in front of me is ordering food, I tee off ...

My home course has a sign on the 8th green informing players that they need to call in their food/drink orders at the 8th green / 9th tee, and that stopping to get food at the turn forfeits your place. Of course, it is rarely observed, or enforced.

That's why we "speedsters" lap the field because we carry a high protein bar for lunch... to eat on the run.  My entire group.  We never stop for lunch.  Stopping for lunch is a luxury.  Do it, enjoy it, chomp on that polish dog, have a beer, but don't expect to retain your spot.

Is Darcy still around? Never wait long with her getting food/beer. Ill get my stuff and if anybody jumps me on 10, I’ll go for the green 😉

Not sure.  Never got to know Darcy, 'cause I never stopped for lunch.  Though I did once have breakfast before a scramble tournament.  10... I've only carried those trees once.  I'd rather go for the green on 15.

(Just checked the website.  Looks like Darcy is still there.)

That's what I do! I carry a sweet & salty nut bar, and a package of peanut butter crackers plus a couple of bottles of water. Plenty to keep me going for the round. Also, I make sure I get some food in my belly before the round. We wait til after the round to eat so we can enjoy it without rushing. And it's usually not at the course. We find a restaurant nearby and chow down!

Agree with others.  I enjoy a casual round just as much as anybody else... but if there's an open tee with nobody in the fairway, I'm going.  If there's a difference in opinion... we can discuss it but it won't change my mind.
