I am a re-tired HVAC contractor. Play twice a week. Except for hitting a few shots with my dad when a teenager started playing at thirty-five. Wish I had devoted more time to golf and less to baseball and football.

I'm a Community Work Experience Instructional Assistant for special education jr sr from our county high school district. We are a vocational transition facility that provides job training to SDC level. I also coach Basketball at the Highschool I graduated from. This upcoming season will be my 4th year as a Highschool coach.

Glad to update that I've accepted a position as a grounds maitainence/ groundskeeper at another Highschool. Full time position with benefits. I was previously only working 27.5 hours a week now I'm a full 40, the best part is this Highschool is 2.5 miles away from a nice and inexpensive course.

Hello everybody!  I am a retired teacher and am now on to a fourth career. I know am a freelance writer and photographer covering what else, golf. Recently I put my own website online and write three blogs which one focuses on golf. I also have created my own website which is a bit of everything golf including a course directory of courses I have personally played and YouTube videos on those courses which I produce myself. It keeps me busy. All this keeps me busy so I haven't been playing much.

Ok, that wasn't true.

I am a System Engineer, mostly SharePoint and Websphere integration, planning and some development, when the developers can't get it right.

Hey guys, new member here.  I actually recently started a golf apparel brand called Holderness & Bourne.  We make classic slim fit golf shirts here in the USA.  I grew up around the game in North Carolina, played competitively as a junior and try to play as much as possible now but realistically I only get out once or twice a month.  Pretty ironic for a guy who loves the game so much he jumped into the industry!  Anyways I am excited to be part of TST community and look forward to posting more.  Cheers

It's been a while when I posted on this thread and I think it might have been when I was studying.

Now I'm a Financial Advisor. I made a little Consulting Business and I help my customers to achieve their goals.

    • @DeadMan, I think your approach makes sense. As @dennyjones said, consistency is the key.
    • Day 204 (22 Nov 24) - Weekly men’s group round today.  Temps in the upper 40’s, WNW winds 5-15mph - was the old man in the foursome (next youngest is my junior by 10yrs) - held my own against them.  Iron play getting more consistent -seeing predictable ball flights and distances. While the consistency coming around still had sone solid negatives as I had two dbls and one triple. On the plus side - eight pars and one birdie.
    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
