Have I Bought a Fake Sim Max?

Further to my previous 'skewed' post, I'm having further misgiving about the Sim Max I bought.  I looked at another one today and at address, the face was completely square unlike the one I bought.  I also noticed the injection ports on the face were bright blue whereas mine are a faded and dull.  I looked closer and compared mine to some online pics and the screw to adjust the shaft/loft on mine is completely protruding whereas others seem to be flush.  Also, the Taylormade logo on rear heel seems to go right up to the club edge and seems there's a noticeable gap on pics of real clubs.  I can't see a serial number on the shaft but there is one on the club head.

I only returned a Scotty putter last week as fake (got money back.)  Surely I can't be duped twice in a fortnight?  Some mug eh?

Anyways, maybe I'm just paranoid after the Scotty fake?  If this is fake I'll take up with the seller and if not, will re-sell.  Just doesn't feel right to me so even if real, I won't have any confidence in it.

Any help really appreciated.  Have attached some pics below.......

I’d vote yes. Fake.

At first I was thinking that’s a pretty low resolution picture of the TaylorMade logo, but then I realized it was just very poorly painted.

Where are you buying these?
I'd like to make sure I don't go shopping there.

Those injection ports look really sketchy.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

The putter was a local FB seller who seemed to have no idea he had a fake.

The driver was from Ebay.

2 from 2 is pretty impressive 😕

Tell TaylorMade about it.

They want to know about these kinds of things, particularly since you have a serial number written on yours.

I have heard in some cases that they give you a credit toward an authentic driver.

I'll do that thanks

Also, the serial number on the neck looks to be painted on rather than etched in

First thing I would have done was verified the serial number with Taylormade.  That would answer your question.

Aliexpress sells copies that in some cases can’t be told from real.  The Scotty putters from there look great for the most part.

That wouldn’t work if the counterfeiters used a real serial number.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
