I voted decent weather golfer. Generally it needs to be over 50 and sunny with no wind or over 70 if there is wind or rain. I generally don't play in the rain or when it is over 95 unless it is league night and I can't reschedule or some type of event. Most of the time that I have played in the rain is because we just got caught in the rain, almost never tee off in the rain. We did tee off in the rain the first time we played at Eaglesticks, but it was warm and there was not much of a chance of rain and while it absolutely poured for a while, it stopped after 4 or 5 holes.
To follow up on this now that I've played it, hitting something short of the pot bunkers (so 3iron for me from those tees) is absolutely the right choice.
The trees on the left are quite large and there are some mounds/uneven lies around both of the pot bunkers too.
I mishit my 3iron slightly but was still in the fairway with like a 9iron to the middle of the green.
Won a 4man scramble charity tournament on Saturday with a winning score of 54 (-17) to win by 1 stroke. Normal 4man scramble rules plus each player got 1 mulligan, 3 of us used our mulligans but 2 guys used it on the same par 3 which resulted in a par anyway. Used mine for a 2nd attempt at a wedge shot on our last hole and it was worth it there as it brought us about 5 feet closer and another guy buried the putt for eagle.
I eagled our second to last hole on my own, shorter par 5 and I cut the corner leaving 138 in after the tee shot and hit my gap wedge to a foot for tap in eagle.
My last 7 drives all went 290+ and in the fairway so I was very pleased with that.
Won a free round at a country club in the area which I haven't played before so looking forward to playing that later this year.
