I've gotta say my most recent discovery has got to be Moosehead. I usually don't like Canadian beers but man does it taste good on a hot summer day. There's nothing like a crisp cold moosehead after a good round at the links.

Hey, I have a set of those too. They're great!

Favorites now are my homebrewed Kölsch ("Fool's Göld", light, lager-like ale) and American stout ("Old FC"). The Kölsch is really a solid hot-weather beer.

my favorite beer atm has to be Southern Tier IPA .  probably one of the best balanced IPA's i've had in a while in relation to aroma vs taste.

Since it is winter I am drinking a dark beer and I have found an awesome tasting and strong stout "Victory Storm King" out of NY. Great flavor.

I drank a case of Doshem at one sitting once, and the former part of your second sentence rings a lot truer to me than the latter!

I've been trying to replicate a homebrew version of that for years now.

    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
