slightly diffrent angle on the thread but i will be vacationing in orlando next week and i hope to stock up on some new gear i normaly shop at edwin watts but last time in orlando i visited a wall mart store for the first time and noticed they stocked some big name brand golf balls but the models were unknown to me.
can anyone tell me is it worth me shoping there mainly for golf balls as the prices were reasonable.

Really, I don't find them to be any cheaper on golf balls than a major golf store... if they are its by a buck or two. On top of that, sometimes they carry the old models, for instance, the one by me has the old NXT Tours but still charges the same price as the new ones in other stores. They also had the HX Tour still in stock when the Tour i came out and were charging the same.

My advice is to find a GolfSmith or the like and go there. You'll have a better selection and the prices won't be too far off.

Almost done finishing my bag...replaced my hybrid with a Adams Idea Tech A4 3 iron hybrid and a Taylor Made V Steel 3 wood.

Might get a new putter, but other than that...good to go.

I traded my Cobra L5V 11.5* Driver and a SC Studio Style Newport 1.5 putter for a new Cobra S2 10.5; straight up.

The L5V kept me in the fairway but I lost distance and the SC has been sitting in my garage for 2 years. It is too light for my stroke and the shaft was pitting some.

I was not using either club.

Just ordered a RIFE Cayman Brac putter from TGW. They must be ridding of stock, got it for $84 (TGW has a 20% off right now for the morning). Can't wait to get it. I like my BETTINARDI but the black putter head is not as calming or confident as the look of satin against the green.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
